Plug In And Play

Wayne and Steve return for 2024 with a lot to say, and not a lot of time to say it in. In this episode they reflect on Steve's recent purchase of a PlayStation 5 - making him late to the party, whilst Sony look to phase out the PS5 by 2026. There's also reflections on Spiderman, Silent Hill, Robocop and the evolution of gaming.

Plus, there's some listener mail....

But don't worry there is actually some talk of video games; including some incredible news for Sunderland whilst FIFA goes into stoppage time during their final match. There's also discussion of The Last Of Us Part 2 and the 10th Anniversary of the demise of Blockbuster Video within the UK. Don't forget to check out previous episodes.

In this special debut episode our host Wayne Madden goes solo and talks about his love for Final Fantasy VII; the original game and the remake, having recorded this on the night he initially played the first few chapters of the FF7R. Wanting to capture that perfect moment and keep a record forever - something gamers are always talking about afterward - Wayne ran into his kitchen as his partner slept, set up the microphone on his phone and just gave his thoughts. Uncut and unedited for your enjoyment.
