PLUGHITZ Live Presents (Video)

Mercedes Benz has just made the Pebble smartwatch a little more useful, bringing alerts from your car and control of your car right to your wrist. With the Pebble app, owners can stop music adjust the air conditioner and more. Almost any functionality you want easy access to is available.

You can even setup the system to alert you to exceptions for the car: low fuel, low tire pressure and other emergency alerts are available. You can even have the watch locate your car or check if the doors are locked.

On the final day of coverage this year, TPN staff members awarded their favorite innovators the first TPN.tv Innovator Picks awards. One of the team's picks brings 3D printing to people who cannot afford a printer: WhiteClouds. Even if you don't have any CAD capabilities, WhiteClouds is for you.

Scratch your ideas out on a napkin, write it out in a Word document, or design it completely in a CAD program, send it in to WhiteClouds and they will have it made for you. It's truly that easy. If you've been considering getting into 3D printing, but didn't know how, this might be your best way in.

Essentially, the Beam+ allows you to interact with an environment remotely as if you are there. While most people won't use this product like Sheldon, the possibility exists for exactly this. With 2 wide-angle cameras, a 6 microphone array for noise cancelation and a 17" 4:3 screen, plus a built-in speaker, this is as close to real life as you can get remotely.

No more feeling like you've wasted your time writing that screenplay at that popular coffee shop.

The Chug Plug from Lenmar is the first of its kind. It's an external battery pack for the MacBook that plugs into the brick portion of the laptop power adapter that comes with the computer. It adds about four hours of battery life. You don't need any extra cables, you just charge it with your Mac laptop's charger.

Lenmar is working on producing a larger model to cover the 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro. Currently, the Chug Plug is only available for the 13-inch MacBook Pro and all models of the MacBook Air. Lenmar has released that the Chug Plug will be available for purchase in March for about $159.
