  • Surviving Trauma to find New Motivations

It's wild how many twists and turns life can throw at you all at once, but somehow, we're always reminded that we're here. Right now for me, that's a cat in my lap.

In this week's episode, we'll talk about the book "Different After You" by Michelle Neff Hernandez, and finding your motivation after experiencing trauma in all of its forms. We also talk about how to get started on that journey of rebuilding yourself, with plenty of interjections along the way.

  • The Only Self-Help Book Guide You'll Ever Need

AKA: How to stop standing in the Barnes and Nobles self-help section staring at all the colorful colors for more than 10 minutes and then walking away with nothing because you couldn't find the right book. But y'know, the first one just jumps off the tongue so much better.

Here, we'll talk about what makes a good self-help book, and what kinds of things you should be looking out for when choosing your potential next read. Promise, there's absolutely no $5,000 class requirement to get this lucrative information, but it'd mean the world if you'd spread the word of PlumesCast to the world.

  • Abandoning the Sinking Twitter Ship

Look man, I'm never calling that thing X. But, it wouldn't be right to say our last goodbyes without comparing the possible pros and cons this 1st grader's edgy fanfiction sounding site might bring to the table.

  • How I Learned to Live from My Mom's Passing

As of two days ago of this podcast's release, my Mom has been gone for a year. About a year ago, I did an episode called "Death and Life After," in which I talked about everything going through my mind; I thought now would be a good time to talk about how this past year has changed my life.

  • How to Stop Being the Therapist Friend

If this works, I'll be surprised that my HTML goes to great lengths :)

But anyway, that's beyond the point - listen, you are not anyone's therapist at the end of the day. Unless, y'know, that's your job but you're probably not listening to this episode for that. But, I'd love to get your opinion on some things down the line perhaps on an interview...

Regardless! It's great to be the supportive friend but you've got to set boundaries and take care of your own mental health along the way, otherwise you might just end up doing more damage to yourself and your environment while trying to help others. And of course, if you're feeling overwhelmed yourself, or you don't know how to set boundaries, please don't feel bad about reaching out to professional help yourself.

  • The Moral After the Story

There's a lot of stories about my Pops I could share with you, and there's more life lessons I can give, but sometimes the most important part of any story is to reflect on what happens after the final page comes to an end. You've learned a new experience, one of which will stick with you for a lifetime; now it's up to you to decide just how you're going to use it. Happy belated Father's Day to all the Dads out there - from one son to all of you: you're doing a great job in your own way.

  • It's Time for a Break, don't you think?

Ignoring the fact I just took one, impromptu of course, it's still been proven multiple times over that taking a break leads to more satisfactory results in the end of whatever you're doing. And you're not going to argue with science, are you? So, sit back, take a breather, and enjoy this episode of PlumesCast while enjoying life; you've long since deserved it.

  • Cyberbullying: The Problem you can't just Log Out from

As someone who's been bullied before in the past, I can't even begin to imagine what today's youth has to go through with so much of their lives having been integrated into social media. But this problem transcends the courtyard bully, to the point where even newer content creators base off their entire channels and platforms to be cruel to others. Today, I want to explore what cyberbullying truly is, and give you some real advice from someone who has survived it, for the better I would like to imagine :)
