The Pacific Business Trust awards are taking place this Friday 13 November 2020, 6:00pm – 11:55pm at Sir Woolf Fisher Arena Vodafone Events Centre, 770 Great South Rd, Manukau City, Auckland. 

The awards celebrate the success and achievements of our Pacific entrepreneurs who are leading the way and transforming the business space across seven award categories. 

The award finalists are employers and role models, running impact-led businesses which are bettering their communities through positive and innovative business practice - many of whom have sacrificed to support their teams and community through the hardship of 2020.

We are over halfway through New Zealand Water Safety Month and tragically since the campaign started six people have fatally drowned in preventable incidents. 

In 2020, despite the COVID-19 lockdown at the end of last summer 54 people have died in the water in preventable incidents*. In 2019 there were 82 preventable drowning fatalities. 

Water Safety Month is an initiative of the Safer Boating Forum and ran for the first time in 2019. The month was created to get people thinking about water safety as we head into summer.
