I DO BELIEVE IN FAERIES! This week, Scott and Alex Mirabal talk about the entertaining, but deeply flawed, Carnival Row. The fantasy TV series power vacuum left by Game of Thrones has spat out another show for us to review (and yes we know vacuums suck things, not spit them out but just ignore that please, thanks ever so much), and unlike Dark Crystal last week, there's more to talk about. Unfortunately a lot of it is bad. But some of it's good! But not enough. Or maybe not! I dunno. Figure it out for yourselves, we can't hold your hand through your whole life. Get your act together!

What the Fraggle? A good fantasy TV show? Praise Frank Oz and all his muppety minions! Scott and Mark Russell sit down to discuss a franchise that they both arrived late to, but nonetheless cherish deeply, as they talk about the newest iteration of the Dark Crystal saga. From the perfect puppetry, to the stupendous story, it's a tale Jim Henson would be proud of, and one you should absolutely watch.

In a new format that is in no way an exercise in flagrant ego-boosting, Scott tries to not only criticise a movie, but discuss how it would be so much better if HE wrote it instead. Joined by Jillian Diblasio, Scott points out the pitfalls of the much maligned Episode 7 of the Star Wars saga, and tries to inject some pathos, better character arcs, and even, dare we say, a wee bit of originality into the film. And we're sure he's the first one to do so, too.

This week, Scott is joined by the creator of Lou Scannon, Druid Investigations, and the Podcapers logo, Dan Harris! I know, we thought it was about bloody time too. In amongst many, many, MANY tangents, Scott and Dan discuss his varied works, his process for making them, and what the future holds. Also, a zombie kids show.
Check out the Kickstarter for Cosplayer, plus Dan's Patreon!
DISCLAIMER. One of Scott's comments on the Sony/Marvel deal may be slightly inaccurate. Sony pays for production of all Spider-Man movies, even in the MCU. Marvel does, however, still do all the actual production work. Cut him some slack, this whole mess is complicated!

Well that was quick. Despite the fast turnaround since the last season and the fact that this season is only six episodes, Scott and Alex Mirabal still love this show! With there still being plenty to talk about, plenty of cool action, and plenty of GAY AWESOMNESS, this is a show they're going to stick to for a long while!

It's that time of year again! Scott is joined by Alex Mirabal to announce the winners of this year's TV Awards. It's a prestigious honour and there are many nominees but thankfully, because this is a podcast, there are no drunken celebrities rambling on during their acceptance speech. You know who you are. And you ruin it for the rest of us.

Fighting evil by moonlight...and also during the day, it's Sailor Moon! And Scott knows next to nothing about her. So Mark Russell is giving him a crash course in the magical girl genre and getting him more acquainted with teenagers in miniskirts fighting crime. Wait, that sounds really bad.

Ugh. Just...ugh. Don't see this movie. Please don't see this movie. By all means, listen to Scott and Mark Russell tell you in explicit detail WHY you shouldn't see this movie. But don't see this movie. Instead, if you can, please donate to this appeal for the victims of the Kyoto Animation attack: Help KyoAni Heal. They are far more deserving of your time and money than this.

Who wants to hear about a love story...a bit broken? Scott certainly does, as he's joined by writer and artist Emma Vieceli to talk about the Kickstarter for Vol 2 of her smash hit webcomic turned graphic novel BREAKS. Also, they observe some trends in the comic to film adaptation process, gush about episodic adventure games, and note how similar the British school experience is to being in the mafia. Because if you don't know what this show is all about by now, there's no helping you.
Check out the Kickstarter, and Emma's other work!

The MCU continues on, with our old pal Spidey holding the torch. And Scott is joined by Jillian Diblasio to see whether this particular torch bearer carries the flame tall and proud, or trips and falls flat on his face, all while the gathered people point and laugh and record in on their smartphones. This metaphor got a bit lost along the line, didn't it?
