Global Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29TH July. In the year 1973, Project Tiger was launched in India with a unique plan to save tigers of the planet. Since its formative years, there were 9 tiger reserves but the Tiger Project coverage has increased significantly over time. Tigers are still categorised as ‘endangered’ and they have lost 93 percent of their range. One of the major cause for decreasing the number of tigers is Poaching and habitat destruction. It is important to focus on tiger conservation as it plays an important role in protecting and maintaining the balance of our ecosystem.

According to Kotak Private Banking and Harun India the position of the Worlds Richest woman for the second time in a row is still maintained by HCL Technologies chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra with a 54% jump in her net worth to Rs 84,330 crore in 2021. Whereas the second and third position was occupied by Nykaa founder and chief executive officer Falguni Nayar and Kiran Mazumdar Shaw founder and CEO of Indias largest Biopharmaceutical company Biocon. The youngest on the list is Kanika Tekriwal of Bhopal based JetSetGo with a 50% increase in wealth at Rs 420 crores.

In 1967, American Physician Baruch Samuel Blumberg discovered the Hepatitis B virus. In order to honour the Nobel Prize-winning scientist, his birthday--July 28, was chosen as World Hepatitis Day.  It was founded in the year 2007 and the first community-organised World Hepatitis Day was observed in 2008. The theme for this year is “Bringing Hepatitis care closer to you” aims to raise awareness about the need to simply and bring hepatitis care to primary health facilities. To achieve hepatitis elimination at least 60% of people living with Hepatitis B and C must be diagnosed and at least 50% eligible for treatment must be cured or should receiving treatment by 2025.
