John Archibald Dixon Swan OAM, better known as ‘Swanee‘ is a highly renowned Australian singer who has been working in the music business since he was 14 years of age. Starting off as a drummer in Lynn “Ciao Baby” Randell’s band, he then progressed to many other bands until starting a successful solo singing career in 1979. Swanee enjoyed huge hit songs with: “If I Were A Carpenter“, “Temporary Heartache” & “Lady What’s Your Name“. In 1987 he hit the top of the charts with the #1 smash song, “He’s Gonna Step On You Again” as lead singer of the Party Boys.
Swanee’s latest release is the already charting album titled ‘Believe‘ where he sings duets with some of Australia’s greatest musical stars, such as Rick Springfield, Russell Morris, Jimmy Barnes, Melinda Schneider, Colin Hay (Men at Work), Ian Moss (Cold Chisel), Wendy Matthews, Jon Stevens, Joe Camilleri, Kevin Borich, etc., etc.
