In addition to answering the usual 5 questions, I have received from investors in the last week, I continue reading from Chapter Five of Income and Wealth from Self-Directed Investing. The chapter’s title is “Stocks and Other Investments”.
In this podcast I cover real estate, hedge funds and collectibles.
QUESTIONS:
1. Is the CEO of a public company the first to see the financial figures before they are released to the public?
2. Why does the dividend yield not have greater weight in the IDM stock scoring system's total score? For example, doubling the dividend yield from 4% to 8% only increases the dividend's total score by 4 points?
3. In your old age, does liquidity of stocks, and their consistency of dividend payouts put stocks ahead of real estate investing?
4. The "average volume" of stock trades shrink in the summer. Should your IDM stock scoring software adjust volume scores seasonally?
5. Can brokers accurately predict when a stock is going to go up or down?
The objective of these podcasts is to turn all investors into successful self-directed, financially independent investors.

All of my four investment books are available from amazon.com as e-books or in print:
American High Dividend Handbook
Canadian High Dividend Handbook
Safer Better Dividend Investing
Income and Wealth from Self-Directed Investing
*Those purchasing the investment books can request the stock scoring software at no additional charge. It helps you to quickly and easily create strong dividend portfolios and verify the current strength of any stock before you purchase it.
