When it comes to faith and family, a lot of us have Christmases that are more messy than magical. In the first installment of his new sermon series, “Messy Christmas,” Senior Pastor Jimmy Seibert explains how forgiveness is the first step towards an authentic encounter with God this year.

You might have trouble with forgiveness because you’re unaware of your sin, you want justice or simply because you’re caught in self-pity. It happens to many of us. But unforgiveness can be the thing that blocks us from connecting with Jesus and can keep us blaming everyone else for all our problems. If you’ve been hurt in the past, forgiveness might just be the best gift you can give this season, and it might just set you free as well.
