So, today, whether you buy a homeless man a meal or fast for the next three days, may you dwell in the secret place, with a pure heart and without the expectation of being seen by the world. The most important thing is that God sees you and His Word tells us that He will reward us openly. So in whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

How can faith in Jesus grow when the onslaught of storms just keep knocking you off your feet? You need to get yourself back on solid ground. Stand on the Rock - embrace your trials with Jesus - and that is where victory will begin!

Does anyone, besides myself, have a difficult time asking for help? Self-sufficiency can be a strength for sure. But when it's taken to an extreme, it becomes a weakness. You start to sink. Take a lesson from the Apostle Peter and ask Jesus for help!

Out of a heart of gratitude for what Jesus has done for us… out of joy for the inheritance promised to us… we are to be like-minded, sympathetic, loving, compassionate and humble. We are not to repay evil with evil, or insult with insult. Rather, we are to repay evil with blessing.

Imagine the crazy scene of “singing” (sort of) and shouting for a Chicago Bears game victory, all the while also trying to see friends we love from 2000 miles away, who by coincidence, ended up in the same place! I wonder if that is what heaven will be like? People from throughout the world, together as one (not opposing teams or political parties), all perfectly whole in the image of God worshiping Him together!
