Matt continues our dialogue on Persecution by asking the questions, "How do we respond to Evil, and how do we treat our enemies?"

Christian persecution is not limited to certain parts of the world. Even in America we can find ourselves mistreated for our faith. In week 2 of our Persecuted series, David looks at the theology of suffering and how it can help us persevere and grow when the persecution hits us at home.

So often we don't know how to respond to the reality of persectuion because we don't really know what it is. David kicks off our 4-week series on the persecuted church by defining just what persecution is and why it is so important to talk about it.

David continues our Let Us series talking about how God wants to be with his children for the long haul. He removed the ultimate distraction so we could run the eternal distance. That is fatherhood at its finest. Therefore, the author of Hebrews encourages us to do the same in our relationship with God: remove the distractions to run the distance.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:24-25

It is one thing to draw near to God, but what does it take to stay near? This week, David continues our ‘Let Us’ series by exploring the central promise of God. It’s in our understanding of this promise that we will draw and stay near to Jesus.

This week we are invited to mature spiritually. We're challenged to grow up and leave childish things behind. But scripture also calls to come to Jesus like a child. So what does real maturity look like? There's a difference between being child-like and childish. There's a difference between knowing stuff about God and knowing Jesus. Knowing Jesus is childlike. Knowing Jesus equals maturity.

This week Matt speaks during part two of our series in the book of Hebrews. He looks at chapter 4 as we discover how to experience true life-sustaining rest. Fearing the Lord is the key to experiencing true rest. When we fear the Lord rightly we'll follow the Lord fully, and we'll experience true rest.

Matt kicks off our series called "Let Us" which is a study of the book of Hebrews. During the time it was written the Jewish Christians were under great persecution. They were wondering if it was worth it to follow Jesus and whether or not it was working. We begin to explore the 16 "let us" statements that help us stay the course with Jesus.

David wraps up our Freedom series talking about the rhythm of freedom that Paul highlights at the end of Colossians. What exactly is this rhythm and how can we live it out in our daily lives?
