"A child's outlook for many of us, today was just a rainy day here in Minnesota and gosh, it made things messy and all of this, but a child sees a puddle and sees an opportunity to have some fun. So that's one of the things I love about Crossing Garden. Another thing I'd like to just talk about briefly is tomorrow is Caesar Chavez's birthday and it's a federal holiday in many, many places."

"You. The earth is our mother. The fundamental starting point of Gaia ethics is planetary obligation. Gaia is a living planet, one which we depend on and are part of. And it is our duty to care for and actively heal Gaia until once again healthy. This stems from the ancient understandings an ancient confucian code of obligations to parents. Our parents cared for us when we were defenseless and provided us with food and nourishment."

"And it just breaks my heart. Today there are families that are grieving. And they're grieving because they sent their child to school or they went to work at a school to teach young people. It's just wrong. And we will do nothing. I know that this probably isn't the place for it, but I believe that all automatic firearms should be outlawed. I believe that all pistols should be outlawed. I have been a hunter in my life."

"Later in the spring, I'm going to cook some beef ribs or dino ribs, and I'll be using my pit barrel, so it's going to be kind of an indirect thing, and I'm looking forward to doing that later. The picture is is a leg of lamb, and that was a lot of fun, and it really turned out nicely. Did a garlic, rosemary, and lemons with some olive oil, and that's what I basted it with."

"Everything has a spirit. The rule that I have followed for the vast majority of my life could be summed up in the witch's riddy and ye harm none, do what ye will. But I have come across something that has really interested me just recently and that's the Guyan way to actually put a religious name to what I have felt to be the truth for a very long, long time. The guyan way. I don't know quite frankly how active it is."

"The temperature today is nine degrees, and it feels like temperature is ten degrees below zero because there's a pretty good breeze, which probably increase the danger of the fire. But people will go out. I do it. Everyone in Minnesota does it that does not have a garage. You go out and you start your car and let it run and warm up. We call it warm up."

"And then it proceeded to methodically tear this little bird up. I don't know if it was a territorial thing or if it just wanted to prove a point to me that this wasn't my corner, this was its space. And the second thing I wanted to talk about, just for a second, is the snow."

"And I got to thinking, the way he was dressed, that he might not worry about having to wear a mask or feeling that he needed to wear a mask, because people might not have been so judgmental. His eyes sparkled. He had a great smile that came from his eyes, and he had a nice voice."

"There's a complex here of probably eight, maybe even more buildings. Each one of them contain 16 apartments, I believe, and it's filled with folks from Africa, from South America, and folks from many other parts of the world. And it's just great. It's just awesome. The people have really embraced me here."

"It seemed like 100 miles an hour straight back into the garbage pit, which was on fire. The trailer went completely into the pit and the truck went about halfway into the burning pit of garbage. I jumped in the truck and put it into the lowest gear possible and it just grabbed barbed wire and such and wrapped it around the axle. I exited the truck when the rear tires started blowing up from the heat."
