Oh good, another episode where adulthood is optional and nostalgia is mandatory. This week on Secretly Timid: Meg survives Portland — yes, the land of artisanal toast and ironic rain — and reports back with travel tips you’ll never use but will nod at seriously. We mock-admire Linda Fiorentino’s career, celebrating her peak-of-cool indie vibes like it’s 1994 and we actually have opinions that matter. Then, because balance is important, we get weirdly fascinated by Ma Barker — crime mom or mythic villain? Spoiler: it’s messy and a little ridiculous. Finally, the hosts play tourist at Goonies filming spots, re-enacting childhood trauma and yelling “Truffle shuffle” for the laughs.

Featured song of the week: “Kiss Off” — The Dandy Warhols. Blast it and pretend you’re disaffected.

Jon and Megs cover politics, nostalgia, queer tech, and travel in this episode of Secretly Timid. They discuss Donald Trump’s latest illegal war and why forgiveness for those who supported him isn’t something everyone is willing to offer.

The hosts also talk about the strange way memory works—like remembering watching Life Goes On growing up but not recalling a single specific episode.

Jon introduces the Kickstarter for the Polari device, a bold invention designed to reduce preparation time for bottoms using a small inserted ball—leading to some… spirited discussion. Megs also shares highlights from her recent trip to Sweden.

What do we talk about? We talk more Heated Rivalry…we talk some Epstein…we talk some local politics.
