Podcast - The Greg Lancaster Show, Live from the Glory Zone.

Greg, Pat and John talk about the recent events coming out of a Michigan High School. As a 24 year Army Veteran, Lt. Col. Sherwood Baker, was visiting his daughter as she was starting a new high school, Fox News reports. What he was told by security guards comes as a shock considering Baker was visiting his daughter while wearing his uniform. In order to get into the high school, he was told by high school security guards, to remove his uniform as others may be offended because of it. It is important to understand that it was just 13 years ago, those men and women stood up in their uniforms, and made the decision to fight a war in order to defend the freedom of America and for the citizens within it. Find out more of the details of this shocking event, how the school is responding, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Michigan, Rochester Adams High School, Constitution, and military.

When God Calls

Steve, John, Pat share from their abiding time and look at the difference of how the disciples responded to the words of Jesus versus how the religious leaders of the day did. In Mark 1, the Bible shares how the disciples, “at once”, left their nets to follow Jesus when Jesus called out to them, “Follow Me”. This is so different from how the religious leaders reacted to the words of Jesus. When Jesus called the 12 that He would spend the most time with, He didn’t find them in the temples of the day, and He found them being faithful where they presently were.

Many are presently “in their nets” as the disciples were wondering if there is something more too where they are something else. What some may not know is that God has a call upon your life. There is a plan that God has for you and your life. He is calling out to you hoping that you will hear “the call” upon your life as the disciples did. Be encouraged and lifted up as you learn about a life with Jesus versus life without Him, how to respond to Jesus’ voice, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: temples, religious leaders, fishermen, obedience, the Kingdom, hardship, process, and toys.

Enjoy a laugh about dogs, sailboats, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: sailboats, Great Dane, pugs, and humor.

John, Pat, and Steve have an encouraging conversation about the importance and role of the Holy Spirit. Often times, the Holy Spirit is overlooked when looking at the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God demonstrates His patience with the Israelites through the journey of the desert and the Old Testament. Jesus displayed love with each step He made as He spent time with the disciples and those He spoke with. Jesus shares how He will send the Holy Spirit, the Counselor, and the Helper, who will remind us of everything that Jesus said and taught. Sometimes we forget to rest in the ability of the Holy Spirit and become worn out trying to do what God has called us to do in our own strength. We’re not going to do this in our own abilities.

Recently, the movie, Holy Spirit, was released; a movie that was created with, no script, no preconceived ideas, only being led by the Holy Spirit and following His will and what He wants to do. The director and cast follow the lead of the Holy Spirit across continents and cities on an adventure that leads to miracle after repeated miracle bringing others into the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Be encouraged as you get a glimpse of some of the encounters within the movie as well as some personal encounters with the Holy Spirit and others. Find out how you can dialogue with the Holy Spirit, how He speaks to you, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Holy Spirit the Movie, Salt Lake City, India, Monaco, checkout lines, obedience, the Trinity, reporters, Brian “Head” Welch, Korn, and prayer.

Rediscovering God in America: Reflections on the Role of Faith in our Nation’s History and Future- Part 5- Lincoln Memorial

John, Pat, and Steve continue the conversation about Newt Gingrich’s book, Rediscovering God in America. Currently, in today’s generation, the conversation against the existence of God and the presence of God is increasing. Prayer is being taken out of schools and the acknowledgement of God is being pulled more and more out of daily conversations. Even during Christmas time, the Nativity Scene is being removed from federal buildings for fear of offending others.

What is significant to realize is how boldly the forefathers of America lived contrary to what is being done today. They not only acknowledged God, but they prayed, quoted and lived their lives based on the Bible. Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States. Carved into the walls of the memorial are the words of the Gettysburg Address that Lincoln delivered. It is important to recognize the role that God played in the foundation of the beginning days of America as well as within the lives of those who fought for the freedom of it. Find out how significant Abraham Lincoln viewed God in his life, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Original Intent, history, Washington D.C., Nativity Scene, The Civil War, and The Gettysburg Address.

The Harvest- the Magnitude of the Harvest part 2 by Rick Joyner

John, Pat, and Steve continue the encouraging conversation about Rick Joyner’s book, The Harvest. There is a coming a move of God that is beyond our comprehension. There is a tidal wave of the Holy Spirit that no man can control. In the excitement and encouraging times that are ahead, the motives of the heart will be exposed. Only those who are truly moving for the advancement of God’s Kingdom, not their own, will be able to stand. Rick Joyner writes, “Those who are linked together by doctrine, those who gather to personalities, or who are motivated by a political spirit which seeks to unify around human alliances, will quickly be torn away. Only those who are by and through Jesus Christ alone will stand the pressure this harvest will bring upon the church.” Our souls are what we think, what we want, and what we feel. Our inner motives of our actions matter to God. In the intensity of this coming move of God, there is a time of rest that must be understood and taken. We cannot do this in our strength, nor can we do this without a time of rest.

While God is increasing His Presence and moving across the face of the Earth, touching hearts and minds, many will come to Christ, even those who presently are professing Christians. Currently, there are some calling themselves “Christians” who are not “followers of Christ”, they are not “disciples of Christ”. Rick Joyner writes, “They were led to the church, to a personality, to a doctrine or emphasis, and in some cases even to a project.” Some are looking at Jesus as a way to life but not the Lord of their life. Be greatly encouraged as you learn more of what God is about to do across the face of the Earth, how to prepare and be ready, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: false converts, pressure, salvation, Welsh Revival, Rick Joyner, Evan Roberts, abiding, and Third Great Awakening.

Do you Know Which Debt the God of Love is Most Concerned About?

Greg, Pat and Steve talk about a perspective of love that has been quite neglected in today’s society. Currently, there a lot of things being done for God; people are prophesying, they are doing endless works, but apart from love, it is the sounds of clanging gong. 1 Corinthians 13 gives an insightful perspective of how God sees how love should be and how we should display it to others. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”- 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

There are some that have literally kept a record of everything their spouse had done wrong, written down in a book. Love does not bring up the list of others’ wrong when someone brings up our wrongs. Love has no list of wrongs. God is love. This is a powerful statement. When we choose to love others amidst such difficulty and hardships, not only are we loving them, but we are “God”ing them. It is only through God that we are truly able to love others. Today is the day that we can make the decision to choose to love God until He returns, or until the day He calls us home, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: love, hope, accounts, debt, and forgiveness.

How Do You Know Whose Team You’re On?

Greg, Pat and Steve talk about the importance of being on the right side, God’s side, and most importantly, staying on the right side. Many can understand the visuals of football and the importance of specific jerseys for the individual teams. At any time, the quarterback, the one in control, needs to know who he can throw the ball to; he needs to know whose are his. “Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”- 2 Timothy 2:19. It is important that we live our lives in the awareness of God, for the acceptance of God, and not simply the acceptance of others. When we choose to live in such a way to be a friend of God, and not a friend of the world, there are those who are friends with the world who will not want to be friends with us anymore. Just simply proclaiming to be on God’s team and not leaving the team of the world does not work. If we want to turn to God, we must turn away from wickedness. Find out how you know the differences of these two realities, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: quarterbacks, fruit, good trees, bad trees, Nazareth, and repentance.

We were not meant to be safe or be boring. You don’t have to go bungee jumping or sky diving if you want an adventure, just follow Jesus! There are dangers of living a safe life with a “form of godliness”. We were called to be sons and daughters of God. We can wake up each and every day with the expectation of miracles and awesome testimonies of the Good News of Jesus Christ. There are no crowns for safety.
