John, Pat and Chris discuss the importance of taking the roof off of your thinking so that you can believe God for the impossible. They continue to discuss how the devil is blamed for so many things but in reality one of the greatest reasons men don’t do great things for God is because of their small thinking. Many are walking today with a jar lid over their minds or another way to look at it is they are living under a small pitch roof that does not allow them to think beyond a certain level. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 23:7 “For as a man thinks in his heart so is he…” They encourage us to remember that Jesus did not die on the cross so that we can have comfortable cozy lives but rather so we can give Him our lives. He saved us from sin, death, and hell at the same time He saved us unto Himself. They challenge us to take the roof off our thinking and live under an open heaven where we can believe God to use us to do great things for Him.

John shares from Joy Dawson’s book Intimate Friendship with God, Through Understanding the Fear of the Lord. He discusses the different levels in our attitude toward sin that Joy writes about. Our attitude toward sin determines whether we enjoy intimacy with God. The first level is when a person does not sin because the consequences are too great. They try to avoid sin because they don’t want to face the consequences of sinning against the Lord and man. Level Two is when the person lives by the “Golden Rule.” The Third level is when a sincere Christian who earnestly desires to please the Lord but finds himself wishing he could find answers as to why he is always having to confess the same sins over and over. The fourth level is when a person who has the fear of the Lord upon them. That person has a hatred for sin and so they seldom sin. They continue to discuss the importance the fear of the Lord is and how it will help us to have a proper perspective when it comes to the attitude we embrace in regards to sin. Avoiding sin for the right motives will help us to enjoy intimate friendship with God.

John, Pat and Chris discuss how the United Nations is bent on coming against Israel as they discuss a recent segment by Prager University. There are 193 Nations in the United Nations today and yet one country overwhelmingly gets singled out for things it has not done. That country is Israel. This is a country that has freedom of the press, a democratic government, and where woman are treated fairly. According to Prager University, 38 percent of all U.N. Human Rights Council Resolutions have been directed at Israel alone. Israel lives in the constant crosshairs of its enemies. They continue to encourage us to not only stay informed but to share with others the reality of what is happening to the nation of Israel and its people.

John, Pat and Chris discuss the importance and power of excelling in the grace of giving. Paul shares the testimony of the Macedonian church found in 2 Corinthians 8:2 where the Bible says “Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity.” They excelled in the grace of giving because they gave not just what they were able to give but beyond their ability. Today according to George Barna and the Barna Group only 9 percent of all born again Christians give one tenth or more of their income. God the Father led by example when He gave what was the most precious and valuable to Him; His one and only son. They continue to encourage us to be faithful with our tithes but also to invest in the Kingdom of God. Your giving to advance God’s Kingdom will not result in thanksgiving to God but will also result in financial blessings in your life because of the sowing and reaping principle in God’s Word. When giving they challenge us to think about 4 things as we give 1) Think of all the Lord has done in your life 2) What God is presently doing in your life 3) How your faithful sacrificial giving towards the advancement of God’s Kingdom will result in praise and thanksgiving to God 4) The financial blessing from the Lord to you as you sow financially into the Kingdom of God. In all your excelling; excel in the grace of giving.

John, Pat and Chris discuss a scenario that happens quite often to many people when they find themselves stuck and need an answer or solution to a problem. No matter the size of the need or problem if you don’t know the answer or have the solution, it can provide a problem. They continue to share how many have a default setting to try to figure something out on their own or through the internet all the while going to God as a last resort. John shares how this became real to him when he stayed with Bill and Delores Winder as they shared about the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Delores said you don’t have to know everything because the Holy Spirit is the one who knows all things. All you have to do is ask him to reveal what you need to know. The Holy Spirit reveals Jesus, His Word, and anything else we need to know when we fully rely on Him and trust his methods of delivery.

John, Pat and Chris discuss how basic everyday items like water, a plastic soda bottle and bleach are being used to give people light in their homes. Just by filling up a plastic soda bottle with water and bleach and exposing it to sun light, amazingly this combination produces light as strong as a 60 watt light bulb. They continue to share how the plastic soda bottle is inserted in the roof with half of it exposed on top so the sun can shine directly on it and the other half is exposed below. When the sun goes down amazingly the plastic soda bottle shines light affording poor people across the world light. They share how this would be a great tool to use on missionary trips around the world.

John, Pat and Chris discuss how it’s not about winning or losing but it’s about how you play the game of life. They continue to discuss how many in sports focus on winning and losing but the truth is that you are not always going to win the game. In the end it’s about how you played the game. Many today are experiencing challenges and setbacks but they encourage us to stay steady and focus on playing the game right and the score will work itself out. If you are on Jesus’ team you know at the end you are going to win if you don’t give up. Follow the playbook, the Bible; remain faithful to the Lord and do what He tells you to do. At the end it’s not about the harvest you reap but rather about the seeds you have sown. If you sow in the right place you will reap the right harvest if you faint not.

John, Pat and Chris discuss how Egypt is unraveling and the Muslim Brotherhood are attacking Christians and blaming them for President Morsi being removed. As CBN reports, the truth is that it was other Muslims not Christians that removed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood from power but the truth doesn’t appear to be important to them. Allegedly the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is responsible for the burning down of over 20 churches and for killing countless Christians. They continued to discuss how this was the same tactic used by Hitler in Germany. Blame the Jews for everything. This strategy no matter how wicked it was, it did prove to be successful resulting in 6 million Jews being sent to the gas chambers and ovens. Radical Islam hates the Jews and Christians and wants to see both completely removed from the face of the earth. The International Prayer Council has issued an urgent prayer request for Egyptian Christians. It reads in part as follows:

- Please pray with our Egyptian brothers and sisters in Christ for His purposes to be accomplished for their land at this time of crisis.

- Pray for their protection amidst the maelstrom of violent confrontation and for the authorities to have wisdom and restraint in reestablishing order.

- And that many find hope and salvation in Jesus Christ.

John, Pat and Chris discuss how NYC’s stop and frisk policy was ruled by a U.S. District judge as unconstitutional. NYC mayor Bloomberg was quoted by ABC as saying “the tactic, which allows cops to search anyone regardless of whether they believe a crime has been committed is “an important part of NYPD’s record of success.” Just as the judge said no matter how effective a policy or program may be if it’s unconstitutional it’s no good. However, the program was not effective. The policy was being used for racial profiling where a disproportionate amount of Hispanic and Black men’s 4th amendment rights were violated. They continue to discuss the original intent of the 4th amendments and why it is still important today.
