Greg, John and Pat discuss how God takes the case of the poor in this wisdom moment found in Proverbs 22:22-23. “Do not exploit the poor because they are poor and do not crush the needy in court, for the Lord will take up their case and will plunder those who plunder them.” A generation that forgets the poor has forgotten God. When we lose God's perspective on those who lack, or are in need, we lose our perspective of Him, His heart and His defense of the poor. It's so important to God how we treat the poor and needy that if we don't treat them well, lend to them, help empower them and assure they get justice and refuse to exploit them ... GOD HIMSELF says He will take up their case and will plunder those who plunder them."

They continued to share that when we see a corporation or business for example get sued in court for making their money off harming someone who has become a victim of their exploiting practices and a major judgment is placed against them for millions of dollars which will be given to this victim; that would be defined as "they are being plundered" It’s best that we are kind to the poor because in turn we are being kind to God.

Greg, John and Pat discuss who does God use? They discussed how God doesn’t use perfect people. In one particular case they share how God called the disciples into ministry after he finished rebuking them for not believing. The truth is that none of us are perfect and being perfect is not criteria in order to be used by God. In fact 1 Corinthians 1:26-30 illustrates who God does indeed use. “Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world and the despised things and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are, so than no one may boast before him. You are not messing up the message; your weakness actually helps the message.

John, Greg and Pat discuss a new study that says how by 2020 2.6 billion of the world’s population is expected to be Christian. They continue to share more about this study and how it looked at how many Christians there were in 1970 and what the global population of Christians will be by 2020. They continued to discuss how the continent of Europe had the smallest increase of this period of time and how allegedly in France only 1 percent of the population are Christian. They continued to share their enjoyment of the many Christians that are listening to VFNRadio all over the world.

John, Greg and Pat share about how Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is preparing its citizens for possible war with Iran. Charisma News reports that “current and former senior Israeli officials and advisers at the highest possible levels say that the showdown with Iran is entering the critical "end game" phase. I’m hearing from people with direct knowledge of the plans that war could come in 2013.” They continue to share how Israel is completely surrounded by her enemies and how logic makes no sense as to why so many countries hate Israel and want to see this little country wiped off from the face of the earth. The article goes on to say that “Netanyahu called the Iranian a “messianic, apocalyptic” regime bent on genocide, a reference to the Shia eschatology Khamenei holds that Iran must annihilate Israel and the U.S. to usher in the reign of the Twelfth Imam. Netanyahu also called the incoming Iranian president, Hasan Rouhani, a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” who has bragged in the past about negotiating with the West while secretly advancing nuclear enrichment. What’s more, Netanyahu vowed not to “wait too long” to stop Iran.” They continue to encourage us to pray that anyone that would want to do Israel harm be taken out before they could do so. The apple of God’s eye must be protected.

John, Pat and Chris share about what is the most important interaction of your day? They continue to share how Jesus is the perfect example for us to follow in all things but in particular his prayer life. Mark 1:35 we find out that Jesus went out very early to pray in a solitary place. Our day is filled with countless meetings, interactions, and conversations but our most important interaction we have all day should be with God when we connect with him through prayer. It is during that time of prayer that God will often help us to discern the good thing from the God things in our lives. It’s also during our time of prayer that God imparts to us hope, love, and joy. We were made to fellowship with God and to encounter Him in such a way that changes our lives forever.

John, Pat and Chris discuss RA Dickey, MLB Pitcher and CY Young Award Winner’s, testimony and how he came back from the brink of disaster. RA shares in his I am second testimony of the sexual abuse he faced as a child and the many setback and struggles he faced as a boy and a struggling pitcher trying to make it in the major leagues. He shares how he came to the end of himself and surrendered and God took him on a journey. He eventually made the major leagues learning a new unconventional pitch called the knuckleball. The nature of the pitch is to release the ball without it spinning which is not an easy thing to do and surrender the results of where the pitch will wind up. It’s a lot like what we have to do with our lives. We need to surrender it to Jesus and allow Him to take over. Chris shares how God did the same for him and brought him back from a low place in his life. God is faithful; all we have to do is surrender and turn our lives over to Him.

John, Pat and Chris discuss how the city of Detroit has just filed for bankruptcy. Detroit a city that was known for Motown and the motor city is now coming to be known as a dead zone an urban wasteland. The city of Detroit has now over 45,000 abandoned and burned down houses, a joblessness rate of 50% and it now has a murder rate higher than the country of Columbia. They continue to discuss how this is the future of America unless we repent. Things are so bad in Detroit that many of the police are leaving the city with the city already losing 1,000 police officers. The city is now 18 billion dollars in debt. They continue to discuss that now as Detroit restructures their debt and looks to make a comeback that they come back the right way. The auto bail out proved that it’s not about adding more money to fix the problem but what Detroit needs to do is to turn to God.

John, Pat, and Chris discuss how the new President of Egypt, Adli Mansour swore in Christians and women into his cabinet excluding members of Islamist parties as CBN reports. They continue to discuss how things are changing in Egypt and we must remain hopeful and prayerful as we are seeing these changes unfold. Under the Muslim Brotherhood Christians were being persecuted and now under Mansours administration that are not being persecuted by the government but are actually a part of it. They remind us to continue to pray for Muslims in Egypt and all across the Middle East as they are still in Ramaddan because this is the period of time in which many Muslims come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

John, Pat, and Chris discuss the recent interview Steve Hill had with Rudy Attallah, retired Colonel in the Air Force as they talk about the bondage of fear. Rudy shares accounts from his life growing up in Beirut, Lebanon during a civil war and seeing literal blood on the streets as well as walking into the most dangerous countries in the world. They remind us what the Bible tells us in 1 John 4:18 that perfect love cast out fear. Steve reminds us that we live in America, a very safe place compared to other parts of the world. It’s time to move pass our fears and do what fear has told us we could not do.
