John, Pat and Steve share about Pastor Decker in Delaware who was told by the city that he was not allowed to share the gospel on the beach. He showed up anyway and 1500 people showed up as well to lend their support. Many came because of their love of God and to support constitutional rights. They continue to discuss about those who have served in the military and their sacrifice for freedom and their defense of the constitution. They continue to encourage us to visit a local war memorial in our city that honors those who have died defending freedom.

John, Pat and Steve share about pursuing God and making Him the object of your desire. Jeremiah 29:13 says “You will see me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you declares the Lord…” You can find God. Many today want to have a deeper walk with God. They even envy others and their perceived relationship with the Lord and console themselves with the idea that one day I will have a close relationship with God too as if time alone produces closeness and depth of relationship. They continue to share that you will find God and connect with Him when you commit your whole heart toward that pursuit. Many today pursue many things however they only pursue what they desire. Allow yourself to get hungry for God, to be moved by a great compelling desire to walk with Him more closely.

In his book John writes “Several years ago I lived in Florida, a citrus capitol. Most Floridians know that the colder the winter is for the trees, the sweeter the oranges. If we did not run so fast from spiritual resistance, our root systems would have a chance to become stronger and deeper, and our fruit would be plentiful and sweeter in the eyes of God and more palatable to His people!!

A believer who chooses to delight in the Word of God in the midst of adversity will avoid being offended. That person will be like a tree whose roots search deep to where the Spirit provides strength and nourishment. He will draw from the well of God deep within his spirit. This will mature him to the point where adversity will now be the catalyst for fruit.” They continue to share by asking the question. Do we want the truth or do we want comfort. Truth confronts and allows us to take a closer look at ourselves and how we are conforming to be more Christ like. If we focus the hardship we miss what God wants to do in our lives.

John, Pat and Steve discuss the uprising in Egypt and the story behind the story as they shared from previous segments on VFNRadio. On the one year anniversary of President Morsi’s election the Egyptian people took the streets to protest, millions of them. It did not take long before the military backed the people and gave Morsi, a Muslim Brotherhood candidate, a 48 hour ultimatum to respond to the people or be removed. Morsi refused and subsequently was removed from office and was being detained as well as the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. They continue to share the story behind the story as has been shared and prophesied on VFNRadio. One such segment was, Muslim Brotherhood 101 which clearly portrays who they are and their creed. “Allah is our objective, the prophet is our leader, Koran is the law, Jihad is our goal and dyeing in the name of Allah is our highest objective.” They continue to share how President Obama empowered the Muslim Brotherhood in his 2009 speech at Cairo University. The Muslim Brotherhood had been banned from the country from the then president Mubarak yet eight of them were invited by the President to hear his speech. Shortly after the speech the Muslim Brotherhood rose to power during the Arab Spring and Morsi was elected. They continued to share how the Muslim Brotherhood had infiltrated the west as Congresswoman Michele Bachman said and what FBI documents clearly showed according to CBN. They share how President Obama according to USA Today says, "The United States categorically rejects the false claims propagated by some in Egypt that we are working with specific political parties or movements to dictate how Egypt's transition should proceed," the White House statement said. "We remain committed to the Egyptian people and their aspirations for democracy, economy opportunity and dignity. But the future path of Egypt can only be determined by the Egyptian people." Although, he originally supported the Muslim Brotherhood the protesting Egyptian citizens carried signs indicating they knew all along. They rejoice for answered prayers as God removed from office an organization that wants to wipe Israel off the map and one that has allegedly persecuted Egyptian Christians. They encourage us to pray for peace in the Middle East and for the Gospel to spread throughout Egypt.

John shares how he went to Philadelphia to discover and appreciate the birth place of America. He shares his visit to Independence Hall and the house where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. He reads the Declaration of Independence and shares insight on why the American Colonies were resolute in declaring their freedom from the tyranny of the King of Great Britain. He also encourages Americans to reflect and think about those who have gone before us and the courage of a few men who stood up, spoke out, and who fought so that many Americans can enjoy the freedom they now possess. They share a quote form Tony Evans that says, "When one nation under God becomes one nation apart from God expect the consequences." America can still be a city on a hill and stand for freedom and liberty but we can't do it apart from God.

John, Pat and Steve discuss how the devil forges weapons against people especially those who are working on the advancement of God's kingdom. The devil hates you and has plans to stop any forward movement of the kingdom of God. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 54:17 that "No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you." Although those weapons will not ultimately prevail outside the will of God of course they speak about how that doesn't erase the fact that weapons are being fashioned and made with specific intent to come against you. If we move in pride we are susceptible to Satan's attacks. They continue to encourage us to stay "low" humble so that you don't have to get low. They remind us that each one of us has been given a piece of ground whether that is in our family, places of employment, churches and community. We are living in a day that we should not be ignorant of the devils devices but instead remain in an abiding relationship with The Lord and keep close relationship with brothers and sisters in The Lord. Together we can victoriously advance God's Kingdom avoiding being a needless casualty.

John, Pat and Steve discuss a recent CBN interview with Naghmeh Abedini, wife of imprisoned pastor on the anniversary of Saeed's imprisonment. Naghmeh shares how her life has been ever since her husband, American citizen and pastor, was arrested in Iran for preaching the Gospel. He was sentenced to 8 years and was sent to the notorious Evin Prison in Iran. She shares how this trial in their life has allowed her to share the Gospel in many places including to 196 world leaders at the United Nations. She still says that she believes for her husband’s deliverance but even if he is not delivered she says that God is good. John, Pat and Steve continue to discuss how Naghmeh is an example of how someone can go through trials with grace. They share how trials in our life can cause us to get bitter or better and the importance of choosing wisely. They encourage us to not only to continue to pray for Saeed but to look for how the trials we face can be redeemed for the Glory of God.

Many have forgotten or simply don’t know the original intent of how this nation was formed and how much Judeo Christian principles have been instrumental to America becoming a nation. CBN reports how William Penn and the Quakers felt "That the people would be self-governing from within by the love of God and by an inner moral compass guided by the New Testament," he said. "The more that they would be governed from within, the less outward government that they would need." They continued to discuss that the hope for America is not more laws that try to legislate behavior but a move of God that sweeps across the country with an outpouring of God that touches the inner core of man resulting in a life that honors God. They encourage us to seek God for a great awakening to come upon the United States that would continue to spread around the world.
