Guess Who is the Most Sung Songwriter?

John, Pat and Steve discuss who the most sung songwriter in the world is. CBN reports that singer songwriter Chris Tomlin has been named as the most sung artist in the world. Chris is a Grammy award winning artist who is well known for the song “Whom Shall I Fear” among other songs. According to Christian Copyright Licensing International Chris’ songs are sung in 60,000 to 120,000 churches. CBN shares that “In 2012, Tomlin's songs were played 3.12 million times in churches. In comparison, Billboard reported singer Katy Perry's songs were played 1.4 million times on the radio.” They continue to share how God created each person to worship him in song and in acts that glorify the majesty and awesome of our God.

John, Pat, and Steve discuss what is happening across the nation with states like Florida, Wisconsin, Texas, and now Ohio pursuing, and in all but one case, passing legislation that imposes limitations on abortions. According to Christianpost.com “, Ohio Governor John Kasich, a Republican, signed into law Sunday evening a set of strict abortion restrictions as part of the state’s budget.” The restrictions require women to undergo an ultrasound before having an abortion, as well as ensuring a provision that permits patients to be admitted to a private hospital in the event the patient would need extended care following the procedure. They continue to discuss how God is responding to a simple yet powerful prayer “Dear God, end abortion send revival.” They continue to share that Kermit Gosnell’s case where he was charged with and convicted of first degree murder of the three newborns as well as involuntary manslaughter of one of his patients has set a precedent. They encourage us to continue to pray as other states such as Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas are currently looking to pursue legislation for stricter abortion laws.

John, Pat, and Steve share about the largest protests ever in Egypt and how the army has given present Morsi 48 hours to comply with the protesters demands. They continue to share how Egyptians on the one year anniversary are protesting the Muslim Brotherhood backed, President Morsi. One protester quoted in the Blaze as saying,

“You lied to us in the name of religion.” They continue to share how our current White House administration backed the Muslim Brotherhood not only in Egypt but also in Syria. They continue to discuss how the Middle East is experiencing great turmoil and about the radical terrorist that are involved in a civil war with President Bashar of Syria who are also supported by the White House administration. One such rebel according the NY Daily News confirms that the rebels beheaded a Catholic priest allegedly for collaborating with President Bashar’s regime. So much is presently happening in the Middle East while Israel sits vulnerable by the chaos that surrounds her. They encourage us to be alert and pray for Israel and the persecuted Christians in the region. The Egyptian army has given President Morsi 48 hours to respond to their request. Time is ticking; let’s be found in prayer.

John, Pat, and Steve share about how an atheist erected a monument at the Braden County court house. According to Huffington post “American Atheists sued to try to have the stone slab with the Ten Commandments taken away from the courthouse lawn in this rural, conservative north Florida town best known for the prison that confines death row inmates. The Community Men's Fellowship erected the monument in what's described as a free speech zone. During mediation on the case, the atheist group was told it could have its own monument, too.” They continued to share how some gathered to protest the monument. They share how as believers in Jesus Christ we should be more concerned about having the Ten Commandments in our hearts and to look for ways in which we can love those who don’t believe in God into His kingdom.

John, Steve and Pat encourage us to let anger go and refuse to stir it up. They share from Proverbs 30:3 For as churning the milk produces butter, and as twisting the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger produces strife. They continue to share the process that takes place for butter to be produced. Butter was made many years ago by putting milk in a barrel and churning it with a plunger. The more the milk was churned the more clumpy it got until it turned into a solid state called butter. They discuss the same is true when it comes to anger. The more anger is "churned" in our thoughts and words the likelihood strife will be produced. Many homes, families, businesses, and even churches are filled with strife because of the churning of anger. Anger must be dealt with at the cross and given to the Lord. Instead of churning anger they encourage us to churn love so that an environment of love and peace can be produced.

Steve, John and Pat discuss from John Bevier's book The Bait of Satan about how avoiding hardships can result in missing our destiny. Steve shares an account that John shares in his book about a time that John and his wife were going through some hardships at the fellowship they were a part of and how a friend was feeding into his discomfort and encouraging John to move on. They continue to share how God has a plan for our lives and so does Satan. Satan's plan is to try to stop God's plan for your life. Just because your flesh is not satisfied or things are not going the way you thought they should go it doesn't mean that it's not God. In fact often times God wants to bring us into a new season in our lives but we won't be able to survive the new season without God working something out and in us. Allow God to work on you. He is the potter and you are the clay; refuse to get off the potter's wheel and allow God to shape you into a vessel he can use for His glory.

John and Pat interview a woman named Nicole who suffered with anxiety and fear for seven years. In this moving interview she shares her struggle and suffering and how much fear stole from her. Her honesty and transparency is encouraging as she shares how fear affected every area of her life; her relationship with her son and other family members and even her job. She describes how fear would cause her to have to leave work because it literally made her ill and how there would be moments in her life where she couldn't even leave the house to buy milk. She goes on to share that after she got baptized the same day she received prayer to rid fear from her life. Nicole shares in great detail the delivering power of Jesus Christ to set one free. She continues to share how the Lord set her completely free and how overjoyed she is with her new found freedom and the possibilities that now await her. Nicole is an example of what the Bible tells us in John 8:36 "So if the son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

John, Pat and Steve discuss the fourth part of a six part series regarding the U.S Constitution and Freedom by Judge Andrew Napolitano. In order to fully understand, appreciate or protect anything that has ever been created it would serve us well to get an understanding of the original intent of the author, creator or inventor of the object. They continue to discuss that if we are going to truly understand, protect and defend the Constitution it would serve us well to know the original intent of the Founding Fathers when they crafted it. The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. Every law that is passed must comply with the Constitution. In this part they discuss the importance to understand that the federal government did not create the states but just the opposite the states created the federal government. After the Revolution the 13 colonies became 13 sovereign states with their own government, militia, courts and representatives. In order to form a federal government they relinquished some of their power but retained the "police power". "Police power" is about making sure that legislation is such that it is on behalf of the people and is constitutional. They continue to share how the constitution says what the job description entails and how it explains checks and balances for all three branches of power; Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. This document was written by the people for the people. We have a constitution that begins with three simple yet powerful words...We the People.

John, Pat and Steve continue to discuss the 20 week abortion ban that is headed for round 2 in Texas. They continued to share a recent development in Texas where legislatures are set to vote and pass a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks in the state of Texas. Governor Rick Perry has called another 30 day session that begins Monday which is a result of state senator Wendy Davis's 11 hour filibuster and hundreds of demonstrators that ran out the clock to end the last session. According to Foxnews.com "Perry and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst were equally confident they would be successful this time." State Senator Wend Davis was quoted as saying "These are matters of personal liberty. In Texas, we hold very dear to intrusions against our personal liberty. We fight very hard against that. And we will fight as we begin the session again on Monday," she said." John, Pat, and Steve share how Wendy Davis' comments are correct if we are talking about the personal liberty of a baby that has a constitutional right to live and not have his life ended. They reiterate what babycenter.com shares when they speak of the development of a baby that is 20 weeks in the womb. The baby will more than double in size when at two weeks and his nervous system is connecting to the brain as well as the baby having the ability to hear. They continue to encourage Christians to be faithful in prayer and to stand with those who are praying a simple prayer "Dear God, end abortion send revival."

John, Pat and Steve discuss the raging fires in Arizona that claimed the lives of 19 elite firefighters. According to abcnews.com "all but one of the Prescott- based Hotshot crew died in what was the deadliest wildfire for firefighters in the U.S. in decades." They shared their condolences and prayers for all those who have suffered loss as a result of this deadly fire. They continue to share the importance of taking note of the fragility of life and to evaluate our own lives in the midst of this tragedy and those that have preceded this one. Tragedies like this give us the opportunity to remember all of the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to save lives as well us allow us to evaluate our lives in terms of our relationship with God, family and others.
