  • Living on the Right side of the But
Greg, John, and Pat share how many Americans are living on the wrong side of the "but". So what does that exactly mean? Greg shares how the American culture says, "I know this is wrong...but. The word "but" is a conjunction that nullifies everything said on the left side of ..."but" and what is said after "but", is what you really feel. We need to go back and let our yes mean yes and our no mean no and live on the right side of the "but".

  • The Blindness of Fools
In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 18:2 "A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in airing his own opinions". As Greg has been sharing today about Vision and how important it is and how most people walk around in a haze, in a fog that if they were asked where are they going they'd either say "to work" or "to the house" or "to dinner" or "to Church" etc. They can't tell you where they are going with their life, but there are the ones who don't care about where they are going or even hearing someone explain to them about a situation or direction. They are also the same ones whose life are falling apart, their relationships are in constant flux, their ministry is in constant struggle, they have some consistent lingering issues in their life that are obvious to all those around them. Yet when you ask them if they'd like to sit down and talk, if they have a hint it's about "the issue" or "the problem" they'll avoid that meeting and eventually you if you are persistent in seeking a meeting; like the plague. All the while they talk continually of the consequences of these unresolved issues in their life. If that wasn't bad enough they speak seemingly with boldness and openness about others and have no qualms about pointing out other's issues.

  • The Power of Vision
In this vision moment Greg, John, and Pat discuss the power of vision. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 29:18 "Without Vision the people perish!" People just simply cast off restraint. The power of vision is that it gives clarity and purpose to life. Vision helps you to see from your heart, when your eyes are blinded from life's circumstances. Vision - gives meaning to life's struggles. Vision - helps you be decisive and make clear choices without second guessing "for it doesn't fit, you must acquit" if the direction placed before you does not fit within your vision, you must refuse to take it. Even the corporate world understands the power of vision while many in the Church have never considered what God's word plainly says. They decide what their desired goal is for their company, they take their time in breaking it down to, what really is that and they then determine what to do. A few key words are the focal point for all will work with their company resulting in helping them achieve their desired goal. If there ever was a time for God's people to get clarity of vision in this generation IT IS NOW!

He continues to share that knowing of what could potentially lie ahead for taking such a bold stance for the Lord and coming to the forefront and sharing with the world across the airwaves what God has been saying and doing could result in a walk to a proverbial fiery furnace but because of the urgency of the hour and the the mandate given by God, he and the leadership team said, let's go for it. He continues to share how we are able through VFNtv & the Daily VFNRadio Program to share with those over the wall held in captivity and able to speak directly to their hearts. • Mocking and Gloating does not end good for those that do.
In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 17:5 "He who mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished. To mock is defined as to tease or laugh at in a scornful or contemptuous manner. Contempt is defined as feeling that a person is beneath consideration, worthless or deserving scorn.
Whoever teases or laughs at a poor person in a scornful way is making fun of that person as if they were beneath consideration, worthless or deserving their scorn. Doing this is to show the exact same scorn towards God, their maker. Getting God's perspective of the poor will transform your life, your priorities and cause you to be quick to notice and pray and to help those in need to the extent you are able. When we lend or care for the poor we are lending to and caring for God. Whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished. Gloat is defined as, to contemplate on or dwell on one's own success or another's misfortune with smugness. Whoever contemplates on or dwells on one's own success or another's misfortune with smugness while looking at a disaster that comes upon another, will not go unpunished

  • Newtown Connecticut, Looking for answers
Greg, John, and Pat discuss the horrific tragedy of the 27 people killed in the Sandy Hook elementary shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. They share their condolences for the victims' families, the city of Newtown and many Americans across the country as well, all mourn together for the senseless killing of children and teachers. They continued to share how many are speaking about other issues of why this tragedy occurred. They continue this conversation but begin to shed light and share from God's perspective. While many are now quickly taking aim at the second amendment, the right of every citizen, to bear arms. What has been left out of this conversation at large is very important, God's perspective. They share an analogy that begins to shed light on what has happened. If a ship removes some of its planks it only stands to reason that water will naturally begin to enter the boat. The truth is that God has been taken out of schools and in most recent times off of every place you can imagine, even the removal of manger scenes from public state house buildings. By taking God out of our schools and taking prayer out of schools has left a huge void. Many are trying to blame guns for this horrific tragedy and are now trying to attack our 2nd amendment constitutional right. As we know, guns don't kill people but people do. When people die in car accidents there isn't a call for a ban on cars. When people die from alcohol and drunk driving you don't hear an outcry to ban alcohol. No, should there be? The truth is someone made a choice. We need to really begin to focus on what is influencing people to do these horrific shootings that have now become so prevalent. They share statistics of how violent shooting video games affect our children and others who play them. Games like Grand Theft Auto that glorify beating people bloody, random shootings, murders, and even prostitution. This is what our children are viewing for hours simulating activities with realistic graphics, role "playing" these horrendous acts until they no longer become virtual as in the case of this shooter, but become real. They continue to discuss how the role the church has been regulated in these horrific tragedies. They are welcomed to come in as counselors after the fact but is hugely ignored before the tragedy. What would happen if the church would rise up and begin to share the truth? What would happen if people listened to the truth and turn their hearts to God? These senseless and horrific murders will come to an end when a nation turns its heart to God and put God back where He belongs, right in the center and forefront of our lives.

  • Egypt going back to Dark Age, say Pastor Yossef
Greg, John, and Pat discuss developments in Egypt as Pastor Yossef shares on CBN. It is being reported that Christians in Egypt are terrified of the constitution passing in Egypt Saturday, December 15, 2012. They feel their rights as well as many other Egyptians will be taken away. Pastor Yossef describes it as Egypt going back to the dark ages. He continues to share that this is a result of President Obama's support of the Muslim Brotherhood which has now embolden them to take such measures. Greg, John, and Pat continue to discuss how President Obama has remained completely silent on this issue yet has been vocal not only in recent developments in Syria but has also taken to Twitter to communicate with the American people directly. President Obama does not need to be a community organizer but instead needs to communicate with the congress, who is elected representatives of the people.

  • Living with the Awareness that God's Eyes are on You
In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 14:2 "He whose walk is upright fears the Lord, but he whose ways are devious despises him."
When a man or women is aware of God, and that His eye is upon us and that He never leaves us, he or she has a desire to know and follows the ways of The Lord; this combination is known as the fear of The Lord. Many would ask why are you always seeking to do as The Lord directs you in His Word? The answer is that I am aware of Him, love Him and have a Fear of The Lord in my heart.
If you have been frustrated with someone who you've seen grow up in the ways of the Lord, who knows what is right and God's expectations of them, yet who walk in ways that are against God , this proverb should help you understand what is going on. When you see someone who once walked with The Lord now speak in ways that are hateful towards God, His people, and His ways - today's proverb helps you understand they respond this way because their ways are devious. It's like although they know what is plainly right they go against what is right and accomplish their goals in ways that put themselves in direct disobedience to God.

  • Rethinking Church: I am My Brother's Keeper
In this rethinking church moment Greg shares about the Marines and some of their unique attributes. He shares that although the Marines are large in number they are made up of a few soldiers in a squadron. They live together, sleep together, eat together and fight together. Such a bond occurs among them that they are willing to put themselves in harm's way to rescue a fellow soldier. They even have a motto, "no soldier left behind." Greg shares that what the Marines accomplished by small squadrons we need to do as the church. People don't walk into the spiritual line of fire for someone they don't know. They know each other because they love each other. Jesus himself modeled this by pouring his life into 12 disciples. The church's motto should be, no brother no sister left behind.
