Teenagers, Stephen Ireland, Michael Johnson, Micah Richards, Nedum Onuoha, Joe Hart, Kasper Schmeichel and Daniel Sturridge all played a prominent role in the 2007-08 campaign for Manchester City. Outside of Joe Hart who had been acquired from Shrewsbury, all had come through Manchester City’s youth system.
