PodCaste- A Warhammer 40k Podcast

The following is the final test before Pod Caste takes off. This is a recounting of the conversation that took place on the Tau 40.000 Discord server. Unfortunately the original files were corrupted. I discuss the Vespid, Nicassar and humanity within the Tau empire, using my notes taken from the conversation and expanding on it with canonical lore as well as some hypotheticals.

This is a test that was made on March 13th 2021. We discuss general aspects of the Tau including their place of origin, a little bit about the Enclaves and the aftermath of the Damocles Gulf.

During the discussion we mention a Farsight Quote which is my favorite:

Shas'Ui Kamino Re'lay brought up a fascinating What if? To our What if? Episode about Shadowsun. Calmsword muses about what could have been and what if Aun'va, that old dog, had been right all along.

Hope you enjoy this supplemental episode.

Additionally, we're trying something new by asking listeners for $1 a month to access previous episodes. The new ones will be free but as we continue it'll shift over to the subscription. Proceeds will go to maintaining equipment and websites. Thanks!

What If? Is always a great scenario to play with and as we continue forward with Tau lore we'd like to examine what would happen if Shadowsun had taken Farsight's place during the Reclamation after the first Damocles Gulf Crusade.

This scenario happened after some intense back and forth on Discord, which as ever, you are invited to: https://discord.gg/K7pRQWWdvG

Hope you can join the conversation there!

Redrix takes us on a journey through the history of the Tau Battlesuit having freshly returned from tourney. He discusses the process of new technologies and how they are given to heroes of the Commonwealth like Shadowsun and Longstrike (yes, Longstrike has a battlesuit). A fascinating discussion kicks off with a lot of speculation about 30min in.

Enjoy! And if you ever want to jump in, remember to join our discord:

Welcome to Season 3 of Pod Caste!

Our newest episode is also a return to more regular uploads. We'll go over a history of who the Squats and the Demiurg were and a little speculation on what the Votann might be.

ADDENDUM: This sometimes happens... But I totally forgot the Cyclic Ion Blaster. Since the recording of this episode, "Commander Darkfrost" from our community on Discord helped me remember. Thank you Darkfrost!

This is going to be a multi-parter as well since the original conversation lasted a whopping 3 hours. So sit back, and enjoy.

A new and exciting year brings us to the topic of Tau warcrimes (or, a normal 'wednesday' for the rest of the 40k factions) here's some events that you can succinctly point at and say "see, they're as bad as ___".
