Choosing a mic does not fully depend on the price because we believe that expensive ones do not equate to better quality. Affiliate marketing programs are low hanging fruits worth looking into. We can use it to create a passive income especially when the content we create is Evergreen. For those who just started in podcasting, affiliate marketing programs are a win-win collaboration between you as the promoter and the affiliate because you get paid when someone makes a purchase using your unique link. A microphone is a major tool when you are in podcasting, however, if you are just starting out or you just want to simply record, you don’t have to buy an expensive mic. You can have quality audio with lesser expensive ones, but you need to do something in your environment to get the optimum audio results you want.

In this episode, Yann and I will lay down some tips that you can follow that will just do the tricks to improve on your audio.

The ten tips that will help you record high quality audio from your home:

Check the logistics of your recording space.

Record the silence for about 10 seconds and then listen for unusual sounds like AC running, then record with your voice for about 10 seconds and listen.

It's better to record in a carpeted room but if it isn’t, place a towel on the floor.

Use ethernet cables meaning hardwire your internet connections.

Turn off other apps to save on bandwidth.

Use a noise cancelling app.

Record with headphones.

Know your microphones and the best distance you have between your mouth and the mic.

Know your setup.

Put the mic on mute when not talking.

When it comes to social networking apps, the ones that come to mind are Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Over the last year, there has been a lot of buzz about Clubhouse and it has become popular since, however, the way people interact is considerably different.

A lot of podcasters leave so much money on the table. They mention a lot of resources, links and products and listeners will buy the product and get the link because they bank on user experience of the podcaster. Podcasters are seen as reputable people in their niche, people get what they recommend. It is also good to consider that listeners would love the transparency when you tell them beforehand that you may get commission from using your link or the products that you recommend. These are huge and it can generate additional income for you, not to pay attention.
