Daniela joins us from The Lotus Circle Podcast to share her best tips and words of wisdom drawing on her experience from beginning her show with a co-host to suddenly doing it all without tearing her hair out - and the incredible and unexpected things that have come from hosting The Lotus Circle Podcast.

More About Daniela

Daniela Gilet is a focused, and inquisitive up and coming leader who helps build community through her podcast and other avenues. She was born in the lush land of Haiti, raised in Saint Louis, and has spent the last eight years as a resident in Florida.

By day Daniela works as a Data Analyst for a health insurance company where she uses data and thorough analysis to help drive better business decisions. Most of her professional background lies in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources. By night she is the host and producer of The Lotus Circle Podcast, a podcast for millennials, entrepreneurs, and progressive adults where she discusses personal finance, professional/self-development and navigating the adulthood space. Her objective with the podcast is two-fold 1) to build an action-based community that is focused on utilizing practical resources for lifestyle enhancement and sustainability and 2) to connect listeners with leading industry professionals who can provide extended guidance for professional and personal success.

Daniela currently possess a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Informatics from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology minor in Chemistry from the University of Miami.

She has worked in the Australian craft industry for well over a decade, creating projects for craft magazines and brands across a variety of craft mediums. She was host and segment presenter for the Australian papercrafting television show, Scrap It TV, for 5 seasons. Dawn has been a speaker and panelist at The Artful Business Conference. She currently has an online store selling craft supplies, teaches in collaboration with other businesses locally, and recently launched The Craft Room Podcast.

There are close to 700,000 active podcasts live on iTunes today and the number increases every week. Some shows are designed to sell coaching programs, promote books or services, others live shows, or merchandise. There isn't anything wrong with that - but here's an idea I'd like to plant: what if your podcast was more than a lead magnet? What if it was your means to enact change around the world? What if... your podcast was a vehicle for activism?

Today we're exploring the impact a podcast can have on a single person and the change it can inspire. Think back - have you ever listened to a podcast episode and it somehow reached right down into your core and resonated? Maybe you had emotional release (read: crying mess at the bottom of the shower), or you were completely inspired by an idea it sparked in you, or maybe it lead to a big change in your life.

Whichever way you dice it, a podcast is an extremely personal and intimate form of content, and we can choose to be leaders and activists.
