We cannot find God in conflict and anger or hate or the anonymity of social media.

Being a Christian in the world today means that we need to return to the fundamentals. We need to dedicate ourselves to prayer, study, and service to others, all through the lens of love.

We act like Peter when we place prideful value in our own logic than in the Church's teachings, and when we share those poisoned seeds with other people.

In an ever-changing world where nothing seems sacred, the Church stands as a public symbol of faith.

We need to be ready to help welcome people you don’t know to church. If they or someone you know needs some help praying to God, teach them the simple formula from today’s Gospel.

When we place our faith in Jesus and not in our sense of control, then it doesn’t matter what life throws at us. We can weather any storm.

Wherein lies our faith? In Christ alone.

Just as Jesus fed the multitude, so too is Jesus ready to feed you and me in the Eucharist despite or even in spite of the flaws of the Church, any one priest, or anything wrong in this world!

God is not finished with us yet! We need to turn to God in prayer, and use our blessings to help those around us.

This storm will end. This too shall pass. I can’t tell you when and I can’t tell you how, but at some point, we will all set down our umbrellas and face the dawn of a new tomorrow. How can I be sure? Because I am a Christian!
