We are delighted to share with you our Regulatory Keynote address presented by Derville Rowland, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland.

We were delighted to have Mary Ann Sieghart, Journalist, editor, non-executive director and broadcaster give a keynote address relating to her new book “The Authority Gap: Why Women Are Still Taken Less Seriously Than Men, and What We Can Do About It”.

Sieghart outlines key takeaways from her study of why women still struggle to be taken seriously in professional life more broadly, as well as including many funds industry specific examples. Commanding extensive academic research, and interviews with many pioneering women such as Mary Robinson, Sieghart paints a picture of how this social conditioning and unconscious bias is embedded in society and how we can counteract these forces.

Irish Funds in conjunction with Fasttrack in Technology (FIT) have undertaken a comprehensive assessment of the current and future technology skills needs for the funds and asset management industry in Ireland.
