WandaVision was an overhyped disappointment and is the latest installment of the M-she-U. No X-Men, Mutants, or MCU cameos. Despite two good performances by Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany the writing falls prey to the same tropes we saw in Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman 1984. The message this shows sends exposes the detachment between Hollywood and the audience.

A surprise announcement from YouTube has led to speculation that they may have received a communication from Disney to change the rules of the platform. To protect OUR competition. YouTube says it is for the ‘creators’ well being. In the meantime YouTube hasn’t lifted a finger to help creators of targeted deplatforming campaigns that continue to this very day. The firing of Gina Carano has blown up in Disney’s face, and I wouldn’t put it beyond The Mouse to do what it takes to protect BRAND. Without realizing it is their own actions that are doing just that.
