Cassie is an elementary librarian for grades 3-5 Christiansburg, VA.

She has a Bachelors in English Education with a Library Media Endorsement from UVA, and she's working on becoming a published YA Author of a book that’s like the notebook but with baseball. It’s a baseball romance with elements of theater.
Every now and then I like to post the pre-interview conversation I have with guests instead of make a formal episode. They can be so interesting and more human. My guest for this episode is the amazing Neil Sandham.
Neil is a 9th and 10th Science teacher from Calgary, Alberta.
Heather is a kindergarten teacher at Cedar Valley Community School.
She's been in education for 15 years: having taught pre-k through 5th grade.
She has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Washington and is a national board certified teacher.
Jarrett J. Krosoczka is the New York Times-bestselling author/illustrator behind more than forty books for young readers, including his wildly popular Lunch Lady graphic novels, select volumes of the Star Wars: Jedi Academy series, and Hey, Kiddo, which was a National Book Award Finalist.
Rita holds a BA in English and Speech, a master’s degree in reading from Arizona State University (ASU), and an administrative services credential (K–12) through California State University–Sacramento (CSUS).
She was a California language arts and reading specialist who has instructed at all levels including K-12 classrooms, labs, and clinics for more than 40 years. Rita was also a HS English teacher, principal (pre-6th), college professor, ESEA program evaluator, curriculum developer, and keynote speaker.
She has written a number of reading books for parents and teachers including "Reading Champs: Teaching Reading Made Easy" (2014) and her memoir, "Stories From a Teacher’s Heart: Memories of Love, Life and Family" (2019). She currently lives in Oregon.
