Podioslave Podcast

In episode 276 of the podcast, we’re joined by Josh Grabelle, founder and owner of Trustkill Records.

We dig into 3 classic Trustkill releases from Poison The Well, Terror, and Bleeding Through. We find out the circumstances of how the records came to be, how the bands ended up working with Trustkill, and everything in between. There are all kinds of nerdery nuggets throughout, and these types of convos are some of our favorites to have.

We start the episode with a little history of Trustkill, how it’s back in full force, and how Hellfest is also resurrected. This year’s version of Hellfest is this coming Friday, July 4/5/6.

In episode 275 of the podcast, we’re joined by Robert “Woody” Nelson, podcaster and radio personality, as well as Deftones superfan, to talk all things ‘White Pony’.

We dig into our early memories of the record, the steps that lead the band up to this point, the new chances taken, and the honing of the sound of the band. ‘White Pony‘ and its legacy can’t be denied. We wouldn’t be a podcast without records like this one!

We start the episode with Woody’s involvement in ‘For The Song You Saved’, the brand new Deftones compilation record he helped produce. This features 23 different artists covering songs from across the band’s catalog. All proceeds from this compilation go to Oasis For Youth, a foundation in Minnesota that helps support young people experiencing homelessness. Take a peek at the links below.

In episode 274 of the podcast, we pick up where we left off with (hed)PE founding members and guitarists Wes Geer and Chad Benekos, continuing our discussion on 25 years of their sophomore album, ‘Broke’.

We dig into how they chose singles, how they were able to land features from Serj Tankian (SOAD) and Morgan Lander (Kittie), Chad having the foresight to record backstage home videos of touring the album, and how they look back on the album now that 25 years have passed.

We were so stoked to be able to capture this convo with Wes and Chad about a record we couldn’t get enough of. We know you’ll dig this half of the convo just as much.

In episode 271 of the podcast, we’re joined by Matt (vocals) and Will (guitar) of the band Gridiron.

We dig into how they went from playing Call of Duty/joking about starting a band to being on the verge of dropping their 2nd LP, how much fun they’re having making music in Gridiron, and their sick new record, ‘Poetry From Pain’, out May 30th on Blue Grape Music.

This was a blast, the Gridiron boys are about to set it off with this new chapter.

We dig into our early memories of the record, their uniqueness as a band, their iconic style and swagger, and where it holds up in a very stacked legacy.
