Hello Podvocates,

We weren’t able to record last night, because I had a really bad migraine. So, in the interest of putting something out this week, I thought it only right that I pick up my own slack, as Jason has done so many times, and record a one mic show. That’s right, it’s all David all the time.

This week, I talk a little about going to see a sneak preview of a new kids’ movie, and spend the bulk of the episode talking about this weekend’s Chikara season finale.

I also give my opinion on the brouhaha surrounding former ECW/Evolve/Chikara announcer Joey Styles.

Welcome back!

This week on Podvocacy, Jacson and David start by screwing up the show. Once we get back on track, we wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and then discuss Jason’s plans to be in Washington DC for next year’s TFCon, which takes place during the last weekend of September. We also give the Transmissions podcast a shout out as they will be presenting their 200th episode.

David briefly discusses getting to see a sneak preview of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and there’s even some scintillating weather talk.

As we move into Gotham we talk about David’s issues with the Ivy storyline, as well as Jason’s appreciation for Cory Michael Smith’s (Edward Nygma) performance.

In wrestling talk, David gives a brief rundown of Survivor Series, and does the unthinkable.

Happy 200th Episode, Transmissions!

Welcome back to Podvocacy!

This week Jason and David take a cue from their friends/fellow members of the Soon to Be Named Network, Joe (Joe? Joe) and Todd from Longbox Heroes, and run down their individual rankings of the constituent films that make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

We also report some breaking news (as of the time we recorded the show), that the Inhumans will not be getting a movie, but a tv series starting next season. What does this mean for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? We don’t know, but that won’t stop us from speculating.

We talk about the most recent episode of Gotham, and David talks about last week’s episode of Lucha Underground, and some other developments in the world of wrestling. (Not Joey Styles.)

Inhumans coming to ABC, fall 2017

Welcome back to Podvocacy.

Jason and David have struck a deal with Ralph the Wonder Llama to take back control of the show. Thanks again to Tim “Not the Tool Man” Taylor for his contribution to last week’s episode.

This week, Jason and David talk about Jason’s first ExtraLife experience, a date that David had with his wife, and the recent release of Doctor Strange. There are some spoilers, so be warned.

After that, we get into some discussion of the most recent episodes of Gotham and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. How did we like these episodes? Listen and find out.

For a little bit of wrestling talk, David giving a brief preview of this week’s episode of Lucha Underground, which will feature a Grave Consequences match. You can refer to our Lucha Underground Season One episode guide to find out what that actually means.

Finally, we round out the show with some brief political discussion ahead of this week’s elections. We’re not telling you who to vote for, or anything like that. We’re just letting you know our thoughts on voting in general.

After being sick for a month, on top of three weeks of performances and a trip to St. Louis and back, David is finally back to make the Podvocacy duo complete.

This week, David spends some time catching Jason up on how the past few weeks have gone. We do a high level discussion of the first few weeks of Gotham and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., pairing David’s thoughts with Jason’s from last week.

David also talks about recent developments in Chikara, with the hiring of a new commentator, and his thoughts on that matter.

Hello and welcome to a new episode of Podvocacy. For the most part. David has lost his voice so Jason took the reigns and recorded some thoughts. After a little catch up, Jason gives his impression of the first few episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Gotham, as well as Westworld. He then gives an update on some podcasts, as well as his recommendation on a show he just found recently. Finally, he wished all his friends (no, really, all of them. They are ALL going) a good time at TF Con Chicago this weekend.

Tune in next week when we’ll be back to full strength. Or at least as full strength as two middle aged men can be.

We wanted to do shows throughout September for all the loyal Podvocates out there. Really, we did. Alas, that will not happen. So, thank you for downloading the final episode of Podvocacy… for the month.  Yes, David and Jason have decided a break is needed as life does everything it can to get in the way. The plan is to return in October, but rest assured regardless of our plans, we will let you know what’s going on for sure on our Twitter. So keep an eye to the Twitter sky to get the latest updates.

In the meantime, we dare not leave you without a show. We both loved our movies this week (L.A. Confidential and World’s End) so we mostly just gush about them.

And in a fiery wrestling segment, David laments Vince Russo destroying his favorite Indy promotion from the inside out. You don’t want to miss this one. There is also brief discussion of King of Trios that took place last weekend. Which of our hosts was IN Easton but did not get to attend? Well, it’s kind of obvious I guess since only one of them lives anywhere near Easton, huh? Silly question…
