Dear Evan Hansen is a musical about a socially anxious teenage boy named Evan, who through a series of misunderstandings is mistaken to be the best friend of a student who has recently committed suicide, despite them hardly knowing each other. Throughout the musical he is working to maintain the lie and improve his life while advocating for mental health awareness.
