I wrote this in 2020 while watching the film "The Photograph" starring Issa Rae and LaKeith Stanfield. While it isn't directly related to the film, it shares the idea of wanting someone to help you feel complete or to always be with.

"To be or not to be? That is the question" of this poem specifically. This was written some time in the year 2016. Before Tonald Drump was elected to be "President". No, I'm not suicidal [anymore]. This poem is an existential crisis piece.

In this reciting, I perform a poem inspired by a film (127 Hours) and a song ("Hard Place" by H.E.R.) which is also a play on the phrase "Caught between a rock and a hard place". This is an expression of unconditional love with the woes of hoping a loving changes their ways.
