No one will know, until we can make up our hearts
In the wells of spring in Africa never foster shame
We are a people of huge resilience in a pool of arts
No wonder some think we’re to be hidden from see
No one will know us by the names of our countries
If we can take up the same new beginning of history
We can finally tell stories where no upholder cries
Everyone will see a cohesive Africa with a new story
We can finally tell of how we managed to conquer
Not because of wars amongst our brethren from afar
But we can sing melodies of hope in one manner
We will finally take out the roots of discord and soar
Into the blues of hope they will see the African skies
And we will watch the rest of our story in full shades
