The Lilies of Zanzibar
Approaching from a far I marveled at their faces
Dressed with the sensational flair of the beach
Their magical beauty
Sprinkled through my eyes
Their exuding scent
Waffled through my nose
Their delicate touch
Cascaded through my arms
And for a moment
I could hear them sing
Their divine melodies of the oceans
Casting my demons away
And cooking charms of awe
Within my heart
As their petals swayed
With the beat of the breeze
I closed my eyes
And for once
I felt Alive
I felt in Peace
In Zanzibar
