Jenny Danes reads three poems in the Norfolk Poets series.
Jenny Danes is a poet, writer and workshop facilitator from Essex. She studied at Newcastle University and now lives in Norwich. Her work has been published widely in journals such as Poetry Wales, The Rialto, Magma, Under the Radar, Butcher’s Dog and bath magg. In 2016 she won the Poetry Business New Poets Prize, and her debut pamphlet ‘Gaps’ was published by smith|doorstop in 2017. She runs poetry workshops both on Zoom and in person, and she recently completed a Creative Writing MA at UEA. Though she’s most often thinking about poetry, Jenny is also into cooking, running, life drawing, and trying to keep her houseplants alive.
