The objects of metaphor live in a tool box in my chest. I call on them to express the many moments and ideas that do or do not define me. The rope, the blade, the glass of water, and so much more house themselves just beyond my consciousness. Let’s go find some of them in the body’s subconscious.

I left my pain alone on the bathroom floor for too long. Time to go get it, grab it, and hold it to my chest. It is okay baby boy. You are safe. Love letters to myself always help me see clearly.
