Join our Director of Children and Family Ministry, Sarah Butterfield, and Ryan Silvia, Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, for a podcast designed specifically for parents of kids in kindergarten through 12th grade. We will be exploring developmentally appropriate spiritual practices centered around six different Christian traditions during the Lenten season. It is our hope that these will become habits of faith your kids can engage in all year long!
This week, Ryan and Sarah examine the practices of social justice. Just like the word evangelism, this can seem like a big , scary word, but for a different reason. Often times this word gets tied into the political realm, and its true meaning can become lost. Ryan and Sarah discuss how Jesus told us the most important commands were to love God and love others. Our love of others flows from our love of God, and any justice work that we do is done in partnership with God to bring about God’s kingdom in the here and now.
