New year, new season, same Derik & Ceci. In the season 3 premier, we meet Edna and Q-Jus, the new trainers that Derik and Ceci will be following through Hoenn. Edna and her neighbor start off on the wrong foot. Q-Jus is warned by his family not to ride a Lapras too far, lest it fall off the flat PokéEarth. It seems that for two very different reasons, our trainers won't be evolving their Pokémon, and Derik and Ceci don't really know what to make of that...this promises to be a fun adventure! Field Correspondent Gabby hits the ground running with an exclusive interview with a Pokemon researcher turned sketch artist.

Was Ceci a little drunk editing this episode? Maybe. All we know is it's the Season 2 finale! Our hosts finally catch up with Professor Oak and his OTHER cohost, Mary (blegh). Field Correspondent Gabby brings us all the insight on Koga's promotion to the Elite Four in this week's interview. It's the penultimate episode of Season 2! Derik, being raised in South Florida, unsurpisingly hates the cold and Ice Path is no exception. Paul Wall gets his hike on in Blackthorn City. The Empress rides again as Astrid wipes the floor with Clair at the Blackthorn City Gym. Ceci formalizes the show's conspiracy theories with our new special Conspiracy TheoryTM soundtrack. Our trainers battle for their eighth and final gym badge against Clair at the Blackthorn City Gym, who isn't so keen on giving up the Rising Badge. Gabby interviews the Move Deleter in Blackthorn City in an illuminating and chilling segment.

Professor Oak was supposed to be in the office today...seems sus that he just didn't show up. Oh well, that can't mean anything ominous for us, right? Derik tries to offer Team Rocket some basic security advice, while Ceci discusses her high school years working at a hockey rink. Paul finally loses control of his Scyther's murderous urges when Team Rocket takes over the Goldenrod Radio Tower, and Astrid does her best to reel them in. Derik and Ceci get a taste of live reporting as they go into lockdown following Team Rocket's invasion. Our trainers battle Pryce for their seventh gym badge at the Mahogany Town Gym, and Field Correspondent Gabby bravely stays behind after our reporters and trainers escape in order to get to the bottom of just why Team Rocket wants to get access to the radio tower.
