Sean Spicer is the 28th White House Press Secretary. He is the host of Spicer & Co., which airs on Newsmax; the president of RigWil LLC, a strategic consulting firm; and a partner at Point1, a political mail firm. Previously, he was the Communications Director and Chief Strategist for the Republican National Convention, and he worked for several members of Congress as well. He has a Master’s degree from the US Naval War College and serves on the Board of Visitors of the US Naval Academy. He is the author of The Briefing and Radical Nation.
Today, Sean joins me to talk about his experience, his thoughts, and his books. He talks about his experience on Dancing with the Stars, sharing how his campaigning skills helped him. He talks about the importance of firsthand experience and shares why he doesn’t want to run for office. He discusses what it’s like to work in politics and offers his solution for the voting rights controversy in DC, explaining why, despite his plan’s logic, democrats don’t want to accept it. He discusses his book, notes the importance of digging for facts instead of paying attention to hearsay, and emphasizes the need to defend your beliefs boldly but respectfully.
“The left wins when the right is silent.”
“It’s not easy, it’s not comfortable, I grant you that. But at the end of the day, it’s worth fighting for.”
