Michael Portillo is one of the most prominent Conservative figures in recent history. He was extremely close to the heart of British politics during his career. Melissa Benn is a British journalist, education campaigner and writer. She is known for her support of comprehensive education and criticism of many aspects of government policy on education. Benn setup the Local Schools Network in 2010, going on to write two books on the subject; School Wars, a study of the UK's post-war comprehensive education system, and The Truth About Our Schools. In 2012, Benn won an Award for her campaigning and work for the cause of comprehensive education.

Sir Gavin Williamson has been at the heart of many of the previous Conservative governments. As PPS to David Cameron, he played a key role in organising PMQs and within 10 Downing Street. Serving as Education Secretary during Covid, and Defence Secretary. He has served at the top level of British government and offers a fascinating insight. As Theresa May's Chief Whip, Williamson has an unrivalled understanding of Parliament and the Conservative party. 

Lord Lamont was an instrumental figure within the Major government. Serving as Chancellor from 1990 to 1993. As a minister in the Thatcher government, his relationship with key figures, such as Lawson and Thatcher, was fascinating to hear about.

David Frost was one of the key figures within the Johnson government. He played a key role in the Brexit withdrawal process through his role as Chief Negotiator of Task Force Europe. Having been a special adviser to Johnson, a minister in the Liz Truss government and a civil servant, he provided a fascinating insight into the inner workings of government and the Conservative party.
