We talk the aftermath of Iowa, questions of Pete's electability, Tom Steyer, Bernie supporters as well as Jay Electronica's announcement and other new music.
On this special episode of Politickin' With Eddie, we talk the Iowa caucus, Bernie peaking at the right time, our picks for the Super Bowl and new music.
Our episode this week is my discussion with rapper, producer, father, and good friend to the podcast The Grouch.
The Grouch is a legend. A founding member of California’s influential innovators Living Legends and a prolific solo MC and producer in his own right having produced Murs and Slug’s(of Atmosphere) classic album Felt: A Tribute to Christina Ricci (though he often forgets about this). His newest release is Thees Handz, a collaboration album with Murs. It is very good. You should check it out.
The Grouch is an interesting guest for Politickin’ With Eddie. He’s been a good friend of mine for years and because of this, I know him as someone who is very much not political. Someone who can’t find much interest in what happens with most current events. That being said…he is not someone who doesn’t care and knowing him as well as I do, I know he would make for an interesting episode of the podcast. We talk his relationship to politics, Trump, impeachment, his relationship with Murs, his brother’s work with Tyler the Creator, Odd Future and Camp Flognog, his pick for greatest rapper of all time, and much more. This was a fun discussion. I really hope you enjoy listening to it!
On this episode of Politickin' With Eddie, the discussion turns to the latest developments with Trump and impeachment, Beto exiting the 2020 field, Pete Buttigieg's struggle with black voters and new music including the new Kanye West album.
Topics on this episode of Politickin' With Eddie include Trump topping himself yet again with another outrageous international scandal, Hillary Clinton and Tulsi Gabbard, the new Griselda single, the new Smoke DZA and Benny The Butcher EP, expectations for the new Kanye album and more!
On this, our shortest episode yet, we discuss the Democratic Presidential primary debate on October 15th. Who performed strongly? Who really underwhelmed? What were the new dynamics like with Senator Elizabeth Warren as (maybe) the new frontrunner? We also talk NBA's recent issues with the Chinese government plus other companies based in America like Blizzard that are retaliating against users who are critical of China. All that and a tad bit about new music and a new documentary pick and only a half hour!
On this episode of Politickin' With Eddie, we discuss Trump, Ukraine, and the impeachment inquiry. Does Congress have a responsibility to impeach? What’s the historical precedent for where the American public are now on impeachment? What will be the Senate’s actual involvement? When might Republican Senators start to abandon Trump? Who does Eddie support for the Presidency? Are German industrial groups now conducting Presidential polls? All that and more... plus our thoughts on Andrew Yang and artificial intelligence, the new DaBaby album, Nicki Minaj, and Tierra Whack.
On this, the 10th episode of Politickin’ With Eddie, we discuss seemingly everything under the sun including: a recap of the third Democratic Presidential primary debate, a threat against Beto, Trump nearly inviting the Taliban to the United States during the anniversary of 9-11, the Israeli elections, the recent allegations of sexual misconduct against Riff Raff, the recent leak of the original copy of Lil Wayne’s Carter V, Tekashi telling, Drake and his rap version of Kidz Bop, his revival of Top Boy, the cancellation/delay of Chance The Rapper’s tour, and more!
On this episode, we tackle the recent deal between Jay-Z's Roc Nation and the National Football League. Is Jay genuine on issues of social justice or is he just about his bottom line? We talk about all of the recent discussion about a possible recession...and why one would cheer on the possibility of one. Also covered is the recent protests in Hong Kong, John Hickenlooper's withdrawal from the Democratic primary and Senator Kamala Harris's flip flop on Bernie's Medicare for All bill. Finally, we talk some recent music releases including the "debut" album from Young Thug, the new Curren$y, the new Rick Ross, and just a little bit about Trippie Redd.
As always, don't forget to subscribe and/or rate us highly!
