Earlier today Jim went into a search engine and asked the question, "What is the Deep State?" The response directed him to Wikipedia which stated, "The term deep state refers to an unauthorized, hidden network of power that operates within a government independently of its elected leaders to pursue its own goals." It went on to say as to its core, "It describes unelected state officials, bureaucrats, or military and intelligence personnel who supposedly influence or control government policy behind the scenes. In yet another place it refers to the deep state as being a political conspiracy theory that "posits the existence of a deep state within the US federal government, primarily composed of members of the FBI and CIA. Proponents argue that a clandestine network of conspirators within the leadership of the financial and industrial sectors exercise power alongside or within the elected government."

  • Trust in the Lord
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5) *1/ The LORD God of Israel in whom we trust. 2/ What we are to trust him for. 3/ How we are to show that trust.* **Sermon summary:** The sermon explores the command to trust in the Lord with all one's heart, using King Hezekiah as a primary example of exclusive reliance on the God of Israel. It distinguishes between trusting in the true God of the Bible and placing faith in idols, human understanding, or political alliances like Egypt. The exposition outlines three areas of trust: God's sovereign providence over daily life, His specific plan of salvation through Jesus Christ, and His ongoing work in sanctifying and keeping believers. The preacher emphasizes that genuine trust is evidenced by obedience to Scripture, the diligent use of means such as prayer and the Word, and a steadfast hope that rests solely in Jehovah rather than in self-reliance.

  • Jesus Working on the Sabbath
This sermon examines the confrontation between Jesus and the Pharisees in Matthew 12, focusing on the theological tension between legalistic observance of the Sabbath and the divine authority of Christ. The central message asserts that Jesus is greater than the temple and the Sabbath itself, emphasizing that mercy and doing good take precedence over rigid ritualistic rules. By citing the actions of David and the priests, the text argues that human need and compassion are valid grounds for action, even on the holy day. The healing of the man with the withered hand serves as a practical demonstration of this truth, revealing Jesus' identity as the Messiah who brings judgment to the Gentiles rather than seeking political power. The sermon concludes with a pastoral call for believers to surrender their own will to God's, warning against the rejection of Christ that stems from a desire to maintain personal autonomy and religious status.

  • Trump's Annihilation Threat -- By the Rivers of Babylon Part 2
The sermon presents a prophetic analysis of the United States as a modern-day Babylon, drawing parallels between the biblical captivity of Judah and the current geopolitical and moral state of America. It argues that the American Empire, led by a figure identified as the Antichrist, is engaging in unjust wars and enabling genocide, particularly in Gaza and Iran, which aligns with the descriptions of the 'daughter of Babylon' in Revelation and Jeremiah. The speaker contends that these actions are part of a divine plan to bring about global tribulation and the eventual destruction of the empire, citing specific political events and military actions as evidence of this trajectory. The message calls for spiritual discernment, urging believers to recognize the evil of these global powers and to look forward to the return of Christ and the establishment of the heavenly Zion. The tone is urgent and convicting, challenging Christians to reject nationalistic pride and align themselves with biblical truth in the face of impending judgment.

  • 25 Woe to the Drunkards
This sermon examines the first woe in Isaiah 28, addressing the spiritual and moral decay of the Northern Kingdom, specifically their reliance on alcohol and political alliances rather than God. The teaching connects this ancient warning to modern civic responsibility, urging believers to pray for leaders who uphold justice, domestic tranquility, and common defense as outlined in 1 Timothy 2 and the U.S. Constitution. While acknowledging the impending judgment of the Assyrian invasion, the message highlights the promise of a remnant and the ultimate establishment of Christ as the cornerstone of a just kingdom. The sermon concludes by encouraging active participation in elections to support governance that aligns with biblical principles of fairness and protection.

  • 22 Daniel
The little horn introduced in Daniel 7:8, is different from that one. This one emerges from one of the four horns. He succeeds the four divisions of Alexander's kingdom. This little horn is not the Antichrist of the end times although the two of them have similar activities and hatred of Israel. This one conquers Egypt, Persia, and then invades which is, Israel here spoken of as the "pleasant land". He conducts attacks on the Jews both politically, and religiously. He tries to destroy the Jew's faith by stopping the sacrifices in the temple (vv. 11–12). In verse 13 we see that he will set up "the transgression of desolation" in the temple and defiles the temple for 2,300 days. This is the historical figure known as Antiochus Epiphanes. He was the wicked leader who came out of Syria, one of the four divisions of Alexander's empire.
