Prominent science journals have abandoned the scientific method in the realm of climate science in the pursuit of political goals. The best evidence indicates the modest warming additional carbon dioxide may produce poses no existential threat to human life or the earth. Science journals are ignoring this evidence at peril to their reputations and possibly legal standing. Science journals are refusing to allow debate on climate science in order to push an authoritarian political agenda with the expectation that elite scientists will become the political mandarins in charge of economic and environmental policy.
