For the last 2 years, the ANC government has been talking about the so-called 9 wasted years of President Jacob Zuma. This was said a few times by President Cyril Ramaphosa and Minister Tito Mboweni.

They were right, Zuma’s tenure was nothing but a waste of taxpayers' money. Corruption was rife, dodgy appointments in SOE’s were the order of the day, and looting was a lifestyle.

But we thought all of that was over when President Cyril Ramaphosa came into power. Little did we know…

There is a trend, particularly on social media, where “wokeness” has taken the form of rudeness, intimidation, name-calling, hatred and abuse. Wokeness is actually not a negative thing in its original form. By definition, it means the awareness of social injustice. Wokeness is actually quite important in society, as it assists in eradicating the many social ills within our country.
