There’s arguably no superhero in existence that has been reimagined, redefined, or reinterpreted more than Batman. No matter how many times he’s been rebooted, audiences are always willing to come back to Gotham City’s greatest defender. With so much Bat content out there, there’s plenty to dissect, analyze, and of course, rank! This podcast is dedicated to a surgical evaluation of Batman’s history, with a focus on ranking several topics in the world of Batman, among other classic Bat themes and characters.

Hello and welcome to Bill vs the MCU! Each month your hosts Pop Break Podcasts Editor Alex Marcus and Pop Break Editor in Chief Bill Bodkin take another step on their ten month journey to rewatch the ENTIRE Marvel Studios-produced Marvel Cinematic Universe, typically focusing on three or four films from the first four phases of the MCU per episode, reminiscing about their first watches, reflecting on their latest viewings, and considering the wider multiverse ahead!
The reason this podcast came into existence is that our Editor-in-Chief has never finished the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So Alex is guiding him on his journey to actually finish the MCU over the next 12 months.
This month, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for: Bill has finally caught up with the entire MCU to date. They are celebrating this momentous occasion by doing what every Marvel fan wants to do: rewatching Moon Knight!
Just kidding! They did begrudgingly rewatch Moon Knight, but they also took a trip with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, got to know Ms. Marvel, and debated over whether Thor: Love & Thunder was too silly…or just silly enough. Tune in to find out who sides with sanity and who sides with the goats.
Moon Knight, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ms. Marvel and Thor: Love & Thunder are all available to stream on Disney+.

Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are here for their latest movie retrospective. This time they’re talking about 10th anniversary of Cloud Atlas.
Cloud Atlas is a science fiction film directed by Tom Tykwer, Lana Wachowski, and Lilly Wachowski. The movie is based on the novel by David Mitchell. It opened in theaters on October 26, 2012.
The film charts the journey of reincarnated souls throughout time. Locations include 1970s San Francisco, present day London, and Seoul in the far future. The ensemble cast features Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Bae Doona, Ben Whishaw, Jim Sturgess, Jim Broadbent, and Hugo Weaving.
The film polarized critics and audiences. Roger Ebert gave the film 4 out of 4 stars, while Village Voice named it the worst film of 2012. Financed through independent sources, the film was not a box office success, only making $130 million on an approximately $100 million budget.
Josh and Aaron discuss the movie’s ambition, the different storylines, and how it compares to the Wachowskis’ other films.
For another podcast, you can listen to Aaron and Josh talk about Spirited Away.
Cloud Atlas is available to rent on Prime Video and Apple TV.
Ever since Marshall Craig was taken from us on December 18, 2020, his mother Carla Craig has worked tirelessly with his friends and loved ones to ensure his memory lives on. So far, this has led to his massive book collection being donated to the library at his Alumni, The California University Of Pennsylvania, a bench installed at a park where he loved to see the sunset, and the beginnings of a charity called Marshall’s Revolution.
This is a year long miniseries designed by The Pop Break Staff Writer Sam Niles to progress his memory by having some discussions about movies in Marshall’s collection. Marshall has an incredible collection and could talk for hours about film, so some of his friends got together and made a podcast to invite guests with both a passion and knowledge for film to discuss selections from his collection once a month. With this being the final installment of this iteration of the podcast, Sam has included the below message to his listeners:
This episode of Marshall’s Movies will not be the last, but it will be the last hosted by The Pop Break. Roughly a year ago, editor Alex Marcus was looking for a temporary podcast to fill in a scheduling gap, and I brought up this idea on a whim. I was initially worried the subject matter might be too heavy, and didn’t really expect it to go anywhere, but I was met with unequivocal enthusiasm and support by Alex, editor in chief Bill Bodkin, and The Pop Break family as a whole. Indeed, the podcast was originally planned for six months, but after the first episode, they immediately planned it for a full year.
I think it’s safe to say that, while the podcast will continue elsewhere, I don’t think it would exist to begin with without their support, and I look forward to the new podcast that will take our place. We are still sorting out where Marshall’s Movies will continue, but for anyone curious, you can look to the Marshall’s Revolution Facebook page, or feel free to reach out to me, Sam, at my email: [email protected], for inquiries. And, once more, thank you again to The Pop Break.
For this final episode, we will be discussing one of Billy Wilder's masterpieces The Apartment, and we have a dear friend of Marshall, Ryan Myers, on to discuss it with us. As both Ryan and Marshall are massive fans of Wilder, it only felt right to bring him on to discuss Wilder's wonderfully charming yet viscerally emotional masterwork.

This week, Allie and Tyler tackle the newly released and highly buzzy movie “Don’t Worry Darling,” which they both agree should really have a comma in the title. Join them as they discuss the many better films this movie “borrowed” from as well as the behind the scenes drama that dominated the press tour. Did Olivia Wilde, Florence Pugh and Harry Styles live up to the hype? Listen and find out.
