just under a year we started Popmundial, the mix of our "radio 1" became obvious to change. GLOBETROTTING, the name occured the first time live in this MIDNIGHT SPECIAL, recorded live.

and looking back on 12 years, this is what what "Radio 1" TODAY sounds like: a popmundial globetrotting ! At that time it was risky to play folk and pop alongside

Mixed lived from the DJ decks

This is why some tracks are uptempo:

starting with
Tanita Tikaram "Twist in My Sobriety"............................Irland
Edmundo Ross & Caterina Valente..................................Brazil
Stan Getz & Astrud Gilberto
Joan Giberto
Charles Trennet......................................................................France
Gilbert Becaud
Brigitte Bardot
Gotan Project
Astor Piazolla ("Liber Tango", org. version)..................Argentinia
Rocia Durcal ("Amor Eternal")..........................................Spain
Radio Terifa
Black Seads ...............................................................................New Zealand
Los Von Van................................................................................Cuba
.........................................................................................................India
.........................................................................................................Syria
