Landing on the moon was nothing compared to the summer blockbusters, tsunami of jobs grabbed by adolescents, suburbanization of life with retreats to the exciting cities like Ferris, explosion of mall life with multiplex theaters, MTV and personal technology in the 80's. Perhaps sliced bread us up there with this glory, but something special happened in the decade that we love.
