Ring-ding-ding-a-ling Porcelain Peeps. Here’s another fun and exciting wintery episode for ya. NEWS consist of a lengthy discussion on Christopher Nolan’s newest film, Tenet. We do our best to stray away from spoils as we discuss this highly anticipated sci-fi feature. We have a huge tie, which leads to a double round of TRIVIA this week. For our MAIN DISCUSSION, we put the names of some classic Christmas movies into a Santa hat, and a bunch of Horror subgenera into a stocking. We selected one from each list and gave our best attempt at a new darker, more horrific version. What if A Christmas Story was a body-horror movie? You won't believe what we come up with, but as the old adage goes, “hearing is believing,” so tune in and enjoy by a nice cozy fire. For the FINAL CUT this week, we briefly discuss the “movies” we had to watch last week for our gift exchange, and exchange a few more. We each pick a classic film by Hitchcock that we haven’t seen, watch them, and discuss them with each other. We wrap up with our FINAL CUT continuing with our movie gift exchange. We discuss the picks from last week, then give each other three more movies to watch. Next week, we try something completely new by attempting to make classic Christmas movies into horror movies. Season’s greetings from On Or Around the Winter Solstice. We return to form to bring you our first holiday episode. We have TRIVIA as usual. NEWS consist of potential entries into the Gremlins franchise, as well as a new project that’s got John on his knees. For our MAIN DISCUSSION we discuss 3 movies taking place on or around the winter solstice. These are not your traditional Christmas viewings, but damn are they fun. The FINAL CUT for the month will consist of some digital movie gifting. Each host has picked their own theme and the other’s have to watch, no questions asked. Basically, we play a round (sometimes more) of trivia with each individual show. We let them pick the level of difficulty they wanted to play, and whether or not they wanted to play as a team. Once the round is over, we give our valedictions and start a new round with the next guest. From his childhood, to his torrid love affairs, to his taste for flesh, we look into all aspects of his life that we can stomach.
