For the past 8 Years Paul has been involved in the Modular Construction sector. Having been approached by a Swedish Student Accommodation Company in 2015, He then spent most of the subsequent years in Stockholm learning the intricacies of Modular, and spending time on the Factory floor watching the lego buildings being produced.Paul’s initial brief was to head up Operations in Student Accommodation. This stems from the 30 Years he spent in the Hospitality Business in both Ireland and the US. Muiris FitzGerald is Emeritus Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics at UCD and was Professor of Medicine and Consultant Physician at SVUH (St Vincent’s University Hospital) from 1977 to 2006.Muiris is a former two-term Chairman of the HRB (Health Research Board) and served on the Foundation Board of HIQA (Health Information and Quality Authority), the ISCP (Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists), the NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland – formerly An Bord Altranais) and Comhairle na nOispideal for four terms.Muiris was the recipient of the inaugural ITS (Irish Thoracic Society) Award for Outstanding Contribution to Respiratory Medicine in 2009, which proved an excellent opportunity to celebrate and recognise the Professor’s distinguished career and his unique and invaluable contribution to the field of respiratory medicine.After his Internship, Muiris trained at the Seton Hall Medical School Jersey City, New Jersey, US, the University of Birmingham and as an International Fogarty – NIH Fellow at Boston University Medical School Thoracic Services under the aegis of Ed Gaensler, Gordon Snider and Charles Carrington.On returning home in 1977, to take up his appointment as Consultant Physician at SVUH, Muiris established the hospital’s first Pulmonary Function Laboratory and initiated the first Adult and Adolescent CF (Cystic Fibrosis) Service in Ireland, in addition to a suite of specialist outpatient clinics for patients with sarcoidosis, lung fibrosis/rare lung diseases and asthma.Muiris FitzGerald was born in Dublin in 1941 and graduated from UCD School of Medicine. Hewer is a retired television presenter, company director (and former public relations consultant. From 2005 to 2014, he appeared as Alan Sugar's adviser in the UK series The Apprentice. From 2012 to 2021, he presented the Channel 4 programme Countdown Hewer was born in Swindon although his parents met when they both were university students in Dublin. Hewer was educated at Clongowes Wood College and secured a place to study law at Trinity College, Dublin. However his parents could not afford the fees.Hewer moved to London in the 1960s, aged 20, to join a public relations (PR) consultancy as a trainee. Within six years, he had joined the board and bought out the owner, becoming the sole shareholder. His PR company was hired by Amstrad to represent in 1983 where spent 21 years in the management group. In 1988 he sold his PR agency. Ever since Hewer has been used in various ways; for example, in 2012, he was one of many celebrities to help promote the change in the UK pension scheme to automatic enrolment. In 2013, he worked with Vista Print on their "Build Your Small Business" campaign, and in 2014 worked with Bark.com to promote its services marketplace product.Hewer married Margo Spindler in 1973; they had two children and in 1985 were divorced. James retired from sporting life after his historic victory in The Gollymockey Chase in June ‘78. Flies Ryanair in memory of Cathal Ryan who was hauled out of mass one Sunday for messing by his father, the TC. James pursued a career in mental health, addiction treatment services and criminal justice as a nurse then social worker. After graduating from Clongowes in 1977 Paul attended RTC Galway where he studied Computer Information Systems, In late 1979 Paul joined Bank of Ireland midland region,While he enjoyed certain aspect of the job it was unfulfilling and he took a leap of faith in 1985 by emigrating to the United States.He settled in Chicago, where he got a job as a runner on the Chicago Board of Trade floor.Within 6 months he was trading 30 year U.S.Treasury Bonds on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade for Rosenthal & Co.Les Rosenthal,the owner of the firm, was Chairman of the CBOT. In 1987 Paul went to Taipei,Taiwan as COO of the company for 7 years and established what is today,Taiwan’s premiere financial futures firm.While in Taiwan he set up Singapore,Hong Kong and London trading desks in addition to creating a spot Foreign Exchange trading operation.In 1994, Paul was recruited back to Chicago to join an investment bank,The Chicago Corporation, where he was senior FX trader on the Asian desk.When the company was acquired by ABN Amro,Rosenthal Collins Group approached Paul to set up the company’s first U.S, based FX desk.FX market making exposure to some of the world’s top traders whetted Paul’s appetite for the asset management side of the business and in 2007 he was appointed MD of a large Chicago firm with a brief to grow the business. Richard Bruton grew up in Dunboyne, County Meath, and was educated at Belvedere College, Clongowes Wood College, University College Dublin and Nuffield College, Oxford. At Oxford, he graduated with a MPhil in Economics, his thesis being on the subject of Irish public debt. After university he worked at the Economic and Research Institute. Richard has served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for Dublin Bay North since 2016, and previously from 1982 to 2016 in Dublin North-Central. Tony O’Beirne, more commonly known as ‘Tigger’, was an accomplished sportsman in Clongowes and Captain of the School. His extended family were closely linked with CWC with his uncle, Gerry O’Beirne SJ teaching many a generation latin and Spanish. His cousin Bernard, also captained the school, and was the Aer Lingus flight captain of that ill fated flight that crashed over Tuskar Rock in 1968.
