#086// Are you a Christian who feels like God's Word isn't working for you?

According to Isaiah 55:11, God's Word *always* works and it never returns void, so it's time to press into God to find out why we aren't having that "always producing" experience in our real lives. 

I'm going to share the main reason why, I believe, we aren't experiencing God's Word working for us, and then I'll highlight three ways the culture in the current day Church has allowed this lie and resulting experience to run rampant. Finally, I'll share three things you must be convicted of if you're going to see your perspective and experience with God's Word shift, to ultimately see God's Word working abundantly in your life.

#085// "I'm doing every spiritual thing I know to do, but I'm still feeling overwhelmed, stuck and like it's just not working." Has this ever been your experience? In this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast I'm going to uncover a lesser known "pandemic" that's hit the Church called *consumerism,* where we think if we just consume more "good stuff" -- more messages, more meetings, more books, more lists of things to do right -- that we will finally become enlightened and step into peace and flow. The truth is, it's in our pouring out -- in giving, serving and applying the truth we've received -- that we will truly get "unstuck." Then we will see the provision of God begin to flow abundantly and our life finally come into order.

We'll cover the three ways this consumerism mindset tries to take us out, and then I'll give you two practical things you can do immediately (and consistently) to avoid this pitfall, so you can keep cruising in the flow God has for you, with peace and joy and breakthrough all along the way. #081// Is there such a thing as "right place" and "right time" when it comes to breakthrough?  Do you think you have to position yourself when it comes to seeing the promises of God come to pass? It feels like it's defensive a lot of the time, and that it lacks what it needs to get to the finish line. Tired faith breeds disappointment and bitterness. Tired faith can leave you hopeless and feeling like there's just no point. But that's not the kind of faith God gives to us, so what can we do to fire up our faith and get it feeling fully alive again?

#079// Is is possible -- Biblically speaking -- to accelerate breakthrough?  We've all been there. Going around the same mountain for the umpteeth time and wondering, "Will this ever end? Will I ever get out of this desert? When will I stop feeling so stuck?" And when you talk to your Christian friends, they point to a litany of scriptures to show you this timeline is "good" for you; that it's refining you and perfecting your character and all those sorts of things. But deep down you really just want to know -- "Is there any way to make this part go faster? Can't I just get to the breakthrough?"

So what do you think? Does the Bible give us any evidence that accelerating breakthrough is a real possibility for those of us who believe Jesus and follow him? #078 // What's your "position" on the whole pre-tribulation/post-tribulation rapture timeline? For many years, my husband and I were firmly set on the pre-tribulation rapture theory. We'd had a number of conversations about it, had looked at some scriptures concerning it, and had settled into a certain understanding. And then, last summer, as I drove over to Orlando for a bit of a break, an unsettling and persistent question came to me: Do you *really* believe the rapture happens pre-tribulation? I knew the question wasn't just something my bored, driving brain was coming up with. No, I felt it. It was coming from the Lord. 

And so, as I normally do when the Lord asks me a question, I assumed the answer wasn't a simple yes or no. I took a page from the prophet, Ezekiel, and responded, "Only you know the truth, Lord. So what do I need to know? And what should I believe?" What He then showed me changed everything. I am now, firmly, on the post-tribulation rapture wagon, and I'm sharing all about the journey to getting there on this week's episode.

The Lord showed me two very major things as a result of revealing this post-tribulation rapture understanding to me, and the first one -- that believers can have a very different experience than non/pre-believers, even in the midst of corporate/cultural calamity and turmoil -- is what I'll be unpacking for much of this episode (the second "major thing" I'll get to in a future episode). As believers, we are *blessed* to know a different experience because of Jesus, and there's a reason for why we need to have this different experience right in the midst of tribulation -- in front of non/pre-believers. We're going to dig into that "why" during this episode.
