#057// How are you at studying your Bible, just you and the Holy Spirit? As a Spirit-filled believer, did you know that you don't *need* someone else to teach you the Word or God, or even what it "really" means? This isn't a license to become prideful, but an invitation to be empowered. You have everything you need on the inside of you to comprehend scripture and to walk out your life as a testimony of the Gospel. Want to understand that a little better?
In this week's episode I'm sharing 6 tips for how to study God's word as a Spirit-filled believer. Before you skip to the notes at the bottom of the page of your study Bible, before you pick up the commentary, and even before you go grab that topical, Christian lifestyle book, maybe it's time to sit with the Holy Spirit and ask Him to guide you into all truth. Let's talk about how to read God's Word with the expectation that He can reveal meaning and interpretation to us, even if we don't have a seminary degree or any hours clocked at Bible college.
To round out the episode, Erica has prepared a downloadable Bible Study Worksheet for you. Now it's time to grab your Bible, a journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!
#056// Let's continue our discussion around prepping without fear . . .
What do you think of when you hear about people who are storing shelf-stable food and water for the long term, buying up generators and deep freezers, joining the ranks of the RV army with a "bug-out" plan in hand (and maybe even a piece of land somewhere in the middle of nowhere)? How are you feeling as crypto-currency is going mainstream, while folks stand on hour-long lines to buy overpriced ammunition (if it's even in stock), and the rest of the people are at the seed store planting their very first garden so they can be self-sustaining "should anything happen"?
Are you more inclined to call this whole trend a result of "conspiracy theory" run rampant, or would you say, "It's just plain and simple wisdom"? Either way you lean, it won't change the fact that we are clearly obsessed with talking about this topic, especially out on social media. So what does the Bible have to say about prepping and what should the Believer's approach to this whole thing be?
This episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast is the final session in a two part series around how we *should* be prepping as Believers. In this week's episode I want to share with you some basic tips for beginning to prep without fear. I've even put together a basic prepping checklist for you (to make the note taking just a little bit easier!).
It's vital to remember that, no matter what, God has you as you continue to trust in Him and obey Him. The Bible is filled with stories of God's people being cared for and provided for miraculously, at just the right time. So while we pray for wisdom around how to prepare ourselves for future events, we stand on the promise that our God sustains us and keeps us safe, no matter what happens.
Now, if you're ready to wrap up this two-part discussion with me on how the Christian can prepare for what's coming, without partnering with the fear being offered, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!
#055// Are you engaging in any level of "prepping" during this season of seemingly shaky economies and rumored shortages? What do you think of when you hear about people who are storing shelf-stable food and water for the long term, buying up generators and deep freezers, joining the ranks of the RV army with a "bug-out" plan in hand (and maybe even a piece of land somewhere in the middle of nowhere)? How are you feeling as crypto-currency is going mainstream, while folks stand on hour-long lines to buy overpriced ammunition (if it's even in stock), and the rest of the people are at the seed store planting their very first garden so they can be self-sustaining "should anything happen"?

Either way you lean, it won't change the fact that we are clearly obsessed with talking about this topic, especially out on social media. So what does the Bible have to say about prepping and what should the Believer's approach to this whole thing be?
This episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast is the first in a two part series around how we *should* be prepping as Believers. In this week's episode I want to take on the attitude we choose to move in as we approach this topic and/or effort. Fear is one of the most insidious weapons that the devil wields against a Believer, and he's using it overtime when it comes to how we approach being prepared as we walk through these end times.
With these last few years feeling like the devil's plan for the world's demise has somehow been accelerated, Spirit-filled Believers cannot be burying their heads in the ground and pretending like we have some "get out of tribulation free card" when we really don't. News Flash (supported by scripture): The Church is going to be playing a major role in these end times, even through times of tribulation, and so it's time for those who follow Jesus, in Spirit and in Truth, to come fully awake, and to hear the Lord on how and when to prepare for these times that are undoubtedly ahead of us.
So, if you're ready to start this two-part discussion with me on how the Christian can prepare for what's coming, without partnering with the fear being offered, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!
#054// The Lord spoke a word to me this morning for Creatives. I'm sharing it, word for word, with you inside this episode of the podcast. On the morning of October 8th I had a dream that was distinctly from the Lord. I woke up from the dream and grabbed my phone to record the interpretation of the word as God spoke to me. What I wrote down is what I'm sharing with you here on the podcast today -- word for word what I heard, without any interrupting commentary.
This word is to Creatives -- "New Renaissance Creatives." God is moving through Creativity in this season and we will see a harvest of souls coming into the Kingdom and being reconciled to the heart of the Father as a result of moving in Creativity, but also in experiencing the manifestations of the Creativity that God is sending into the earth through Creatives right now.
Are you a Creative? I pray that as you encounter this word from the Lord you will be edified and inspired. Now is your time! Are you ready to step out boldly and create according to the heart of God as he reveals it to you?

#053// Can society deplatform God Himself? In this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast we'll be talking about the current social culture we're living in, and how it's affecting the Church's mission to get the word out about Jesus and His Kingdom in a way that reconciles the hearts of men and women to the heart of God, and trains up believers to be true followers and disciples of the Lord Jesus.
As we watch voices being deplatformed all across social media and other online mediums, and as virtue signaling and cancel culture rule the day, how can we ensure that the Gospel is still given a platform amongst the people? And how do we authentically and powerfully bring the Kingdom to a world that seems, less and less, to want to hear about the absolute truth, freedom and life that is found in Christ?
Church, we have a responsibility to be the platform the God -- not social media, not the news or television programming, not even books or podcasts or movies. The people of God are meant to keep God on the "platform" of our hearts at all times and to share the sound of the Kingdom wherever he sends us. But in order to be successful at being a beacon for Him, there are three very specific things I think we should be doing regularly. We'll get into those three things in this episode, so if you're ready to lean in, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!
#052// So will you? And are you clear on what it means to truly seek His Kingdom and Righteousness? It's vital that we learn how to stand on the Word of God and keep standing -- no matter what -- if we're going to have a different experience that the world as we walk through these weighty times. It's in having this different experience by faith that creates the beacon sound coming off our lives that helps others to see what is on offer as we choose to follow Jesus and trust him with our lives. So, are you ready to be a real minister of reconciliation?
To be salt and light in this season is going to require a Church that is passionate about taking God at his word and relentlessly holding on, even through the "eleventh hour." If we fail to do so, we wills succumb to a destructive abortion spirit that seeks to devour God's seed before it can fully come to fruition. In this episode we'll be talking about how to receive the word and promises of God into good soil, and how to stay standing on what He's said in faith, no matter what, to see God's provision and protection manifest around us even in the toughest of times.
#051// What should we be doing as the Church right now? It's a weird question, right? If you're a part of the Church then maybe you're thinking, "Hey, Erica, we're just supposed to keep on being the Church while Jesus builds." And that would be true, but then let me ask you this: What are we supposed to be doing while we're "being the Church?"
In these last eighteen months we've been thrown a few curve balls in the form of a pandemic, social justice issues, political conflicts and more, but this chaotic environment has clearly exposed something about the Church -- at some point previous, we went to sleep! We haven't been awake and walking fully in Truth, wearing our armor or operating in our full power and authority in Christ. Most of us had just been trying to live a "good enough" life, trying to have some sort of an impact for Christ along the journey, but then this "wake up call" of a season happened and we realized we weren't quite sure where we took a wrong turn.
In this podcast episode I'm going to be sharing my theory for how we got lost and fell asleep: We went off the Map (the Word of God) and forgot what we were supposed to be doing as the Church in these end times as the pressure increases and things get increasingly dark and evil. We haven't been focused on the fact that Jesus is coming back (soon), but he's not rescuing us out of here before the really heavy stuff starts to come upon the earth (no, friend, I personally do not see the scriptural support for a pre-tribulation rapture), and we must be about our Father's business as we were commissioned to do in Matthew 28 when Jesus said, "Make disciples."
So how do we stay "on mission" as the world becomes increasingly scared and chaotic, as evil rises in the earth and it seems as though final breakdown is imminent? That's what we're talking about in this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast. So if you're ready to get real about our role as the Church in these end times and what we should be doing as this age continues to unfold, then I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go! [show notes at ericapyle.com/51]
#050// Are you practicing sanctification regularly in your life? Have you ever wondered why you and thinking and agreeing with all the right things when it comes to the Bible and being a Christian, but you’re still not experiencing powerful transformation and activation in your life? It’s likely because you aren’t practicing sanctification on a regular basis. Without this spiritual practice operating in your life, you may continue spinning your wheels. But if you'll embrace and practice sanctification, things can change exponentially.
The current day Church in the West isn't talking about sanctification enough. We're not teaching on it, we're not discipling people in it and we're not doing it consistently. This is made apparent when we consider the "counseling culture" we've created and the lack of power we're moving in and the measured impact we're having. We resist sanctification, many times calling it "legalism" when, in fact, it's simple obedience to the word of God we're avoiding. It's time for the Church to press in to be prepared and made fit for service to Jesus. If you're ready, then I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!
